Does VUDU have gift cards anywhere?

    Does VUDU have gift cards anywhere?

    Does VUDU offer Gift cards anywhere to add cresit to one's account?

    I have a CC, but I am very protective of my CC, and would rather just add gift cards, or something else, in order to have available credit to watch movies.

    Are there any available anywhere, or just not yet.

    Having it tied to the credit card is much easier. In the old days of VUDU, before Walmart purchased them, you had to buy a certain amount of credits. The minimum was $20. So if you wanted to watch a movie that was 99cents and had no credits, the minimum you had to spend was $20.

    Now, with the new system, you pay as you go. If you want to watch that 99cents movie, your credit card is charged 99 cents.

    VUDU has had my credit card info for over three years and I've never had any issues.

      So you are saying they did have them at one time? Well, then until they are brought back, I won't be using the service.

      I will decide what I do with my CC, and not VUDU. And I have no quams giving them my CC. I have a Netflix/CinemaNow/etc... accounts with my CC on file, but at least those services allow me to have the "option" to buy Gift Cards and place them on my account, so my CC never get's hit.

      It will be very easy for them to bring out gift cards in $10/$20/$50/$100 increments, and allow customers to place them in their account.

      The one nice thing about VUDU is the fact that you don't have to give your CC just to open the account. That is a nice thing to do. So if I don't have to give it, I won't.

      I just won't use it until they offer them, and use the other services instead of them which allows me to use gift cards.

      Too bad.

        They never had gift cards. Just that you were charged a minimum of $20 when making rentals and purchases. Leaving you a credit on your account until it went down to zero.

        Maybe now that walmart owns them they could incorporate Walmart Giftcards into their system.

        Personally I think gift cards are more of a PITA to deal with than a creditcard. I can always file a claim if there are any issues with a credit card. But with a giftcard they don't offer the protections that creditcards have.
