      There were problems with Comcast/Level3, I guess difference between them that caused some of their customers to have buffering issues....I think AT&T was having problems too..

      In my case there are still issues they are trying to resolve, whatever they did, it lowered the frequency of the buffering, in comparsion to what it was, it's practically nirvana....So hopefully they will find a fix.......My previous post reflected the change in frequency of buffering.....Support did work with me to get it to this point....We shall see....

        This is a Vudu issue, they do nothave the bandwdith to support the recent increase in viewers. I am having the same issue. Here si a simple test for you to do: Watch the HDX movie at an off hours time like 2:00pm eastern and I bet it will go fine.

        I have dedicated DSL lines and everything in my house is hard-wired with Cat6e cable. I am 99% certent this is a Vudu issue. During the day I run my business out of my house which is a technology company.

          Update: I want to thank the support team in open forum for resolving my buffering issue...It took a while, but now I have my VUDU back streaming perfectly.....One software update to my BX100 box, and then perfection......Thanks again, guys......

            New to VUDU. I have a fast internet connection with Verizon Fios. Rented a movie last night for $ 4.99 on HDX quality. Within minutes I kept getting a buffering problem. Finally forced to drop down to HD to see my movie. If you pay for HDX, why should you be charged for it if it doesn't work. This was a selling point for VUDU. I have too many other options, if that quality is not really available. Definitely a bad first impression.

                Is there somewhere that has a list of troubleshooting steps for VUDU? I'm having the same issue posted by many. HDX was working great for a while on my Verizon FiOS connection (25down/20up) but the last few months HDX never works and even HD fails sometimes on our PS3. I love the VUDU service but it has become unusable for us.

                  What is your device ID? It should be listed under info and settings, we can get a look at the bandwidth you're able to pull. Have you tried enabling port forwarding, or DMZ? Do you have a modem/router from verizon? Do you have an additional router on your network?

                  It's hard to give a set list of troubleshooting steps, because most everyone has a different setup.

                    I have FiOS too. Run NameBench from Google and it will spit out the best three DNS sever IP addresses to use based on the speed and your location. In your router replace the FiOS DNS servers with the ones that NameBench gives you. Then try HDX again. When I did this I had zero problems streaming HDX at three bars for an entire movie. Even my web pages popped up almost instantly instead of the usual split second delay.
