First time Vudu movie a big success

Once I got the new LG LE8500 TV, and its WiFi adapter and a new Trendnet Access Point, I was ready to run the Home Theater in my living room. I found Vudu sign-up easy and well integrated in the LG TV.

So with a $5.99 intro credit to burn and a night off, I got into it. I found a movie I wanted, "Limitless" with Bradley Cooper, and let 'er rip. I did do the Vudu network speed test and found it measured only 3.3M where my iPad measures 5.5M in the same room. Must be the LG USB WiFi adapter is slow(?). That speed was good enough for 720/HD so lets do that. Maybe save a buck.

As I usually watch Blu-Ray content, I was real happy to find the video and audio quality to be excellent, I doubt I could discern a difference between Vudu from WiFi or the hard wired Sony Blu-ray player. Cool. I truly enjoyed the "Limitless" movie with not a single glitch and all the while sitting there thinking "Damn! This movie is coming to me WIRELESS!" Great time for consumer electronics say I. It really helps that the LG TV remote has all the video navigation built in (Pause, Stop, Play, FF, Rewind). Very tight integration with Vudu and real easy.

I know its quirky, but I like to read the dialog and always turn sub-titles ON when watching a Blu-ray disk. It helps me relate to the story. Not so quirky, I like to watch the "Making Of..." Special Features on the Blu-ray. I miss both those features.

Still its been a great experience so far with Vudu service. Keep it up.
