How many people have Vudu boxes?

Out of curiosity how many people own Vudu boxes? How many have sold? Just wondering because I'm the only one I know that has it (besides the people on this forum of course)

Re: How many people have Vudu boxes?

We don't know how many have been sold. Vudu does not disclose their sales figures.

I'm the only person I know who has a lot of the things I own. I don't know of anyone else who has a 2.66 GHz Quad Core MacPro. I don't know anyone else who has an LG 50" Plasma display with built-in DVR. I don't know anyone else who has a Slingbox Solo. I don't know anyone else who has an HP iPAQ. I don't know anyone else who has a Motorola SLVR.

Yet there are plenty of these sold...

Maybe you should "evangelize" your friends and family and encourage them to get a Vudu.

I really don't know. I have an idea, but that was based on an assumption I calculated 2 or 3 months ago - so it's out of date now.

        How many do you think?

I do know, but if I told you, I would have to kill you.

I can tell you that I've let people that come over to visit look at both the ATV and VUDU. And so far it's been 100% that after comparing the two, they prefer VUDU. One of them was a die-hard Apple fan-boy too. (He snuck into my house under false pretenses).

I can also tell that we're getting ready to migrate for the summer and I called a professional installer in Sacramento to help me select and install an audio system and lcd tv. I told him I wanted to make sure the lcd supported 1080/24fps. So he asked why that was important to me. And when I told him because we had a VUDU box, he was very aware of the product and had nothing but good things to say about it.

So from my perspective there appears to be growing VUDU brand awareness outside the realm of the internet.

We rent our San Diego home out as a vacation rental in the summer to make some extra retirement income while we go Salmon fishing at our place in Oregon (http://www.KozyKove.com).

We also have a home on the Sacramento river which is close to my wife's family and kids. Myself, I prefer the fishing.

Here's a picture of our place in San Diego:

It's the only heating we have. Sometimes at night it will get to a downright chilly 62 degrees. Brrrr.....

We take the VUDU box with us and leave the guests with only TimeWarner basic cable and a DVD player. We found that it's more hassle than it's worth to let them have something more complicated than an on/off button.

When you get tired of salmon you can come down here to Tampa Bay and enjoy the Kingfish run.

I might take you up on that someday. In the San Francisco Bay Area they only have the Queenfish run there!! It's the only place I know where you can be misunderstood when talking about Jiffy Lube!!

(plus, even though I've never been there yet, some of my family lives in Ocala FL.)

So it was your family that stole my ID. I had someone from there apply for credit with my SSN. When the authorities went to the address of the person it was an abandoned building. What type of business is your family running down there?

Must be why he never shipped me the shipment of pink grapefruit he promised when we had dinner...Either that or he's still ****ed at me that he had to be in Chicago during some of our worst weather this winter...
