Yeah, but that's OK. He shipped me a rather large selection of tangerines, oranges, lemons, limes and coconuts just before Christmas. Oh, those were yummy!

Well you're the lucky one. I only got a jar of Tang.

Just checked and still no 1.4 (just 1.3.5)

Do I need to reboot my box, or just be patient?

Sorry, this is a wetware cybernetic update, so the time to download is directly proportional to head size.

But seriously, I believe that like the other updates, this is probably done in the background when the box is idle, so if you've purchased content, it may delay the update...but don't quote me on that.

So for the record, am I to understand that you believe that like the other updates, this is probably done in the background when the box is idle, so if I've purchased content, it may delay the update... ???

(I really apologize. It's just a side effect of having an excess of cranium capacity. I just can't help myself. Hopefully, at least Brain understands the problem.)

If you are using the box or have content downloading to it, it will not update until the box is in the idle state.

Also, keep in mind this update is delivered via the peering network. Customer boxes help to propagate the firmware update. So it can take a while to propagate throughout the user population.

Updates do still occur on Thursday, don't they?

I was thinking of software updates but I realize now it's the database that is updated every Thursday.

My wife was watching a movie then she stopped it to show our son (who stopped by) some other movies on Vudu. Then, without very much "idle" time (I can't say exactly how much), the update began and she had to wait about 15 minutes (I think) to be able to get back to watching her movie. She wasn't very happy. I think the update should be a tad less agressive.

                          Ouch.. Murphy strikes again!!!

I don't get the update when I want it, and she gets the update when she doesn't want it.
