    Vudu Not Working

I have been away for a few weeks and had my system shut down. I powered up Vudu and all I am getting is the Vudu logo floating around the screen, nothing else no matter what button I push. I did replace the batteries. I have tried rebooting a few times, still nothing.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Bill,

What's the longest you've seen it in that state?

During the bootup process there's a bunch of disk consistency checks that happen, which can be pretty long (for consumer electronics standards) if the unit was unplugged while important disk activity was in progress (try to keep the unit plugged in if you don't want to go through this process every time you plug it in).
Here's my suggestion to you: if the splash screen stays up there for more than 5 minutes, call our Customer Support team.

    Cheers,

    -- Greg

It sounds like you're getting through the boot process, right? I don't think you'd get the screensaver if you didn't. But that the remote simply isn't responding?

How are you rebooting - unplugging the power?

Hmmm... you're probably right. I interpreted Bill's message as being on the splash screen, but now that I re-read his original post, it seems like he hit the screen saver.

        Maybe his remote needs pairing?

That was my guess as well.

Here's a FAQ that might help:

            Wait a second...

Bill probably got the 1.4 update which sometimes requires you to re-pair the remote. That's probably the problem!

You can flip the breaker in your electrical box.
