            My all time favorite is: "Even if I knew something, I wouldn't even tell myself"

            (BTW I do believe you, I've heard that you're still testing 1.3.5 for them)

              1.3.5 -> It's more like 1.2.8.99.506.73.89

              Hey, I used to work for a company who's symbol is similar to batwings. WE literally had firmware builds with numbers like that!

                I don't think I realized it until now, but I think you may have severe "occult syndrome". You really should see someone about that, there is a cure!! Just trying to help out here.

                  I think I worked for some possessed managers...

                  We had a name for how some of these guys got their jobs: FUMU syndrome.

                  You figure it out!

                      I interned for the "Batwing" company a few summers while in college and FUMU explains a lot of what I saw. My favorite was the picnic they threw to show us they still appreciated us even though we were getting 0% profit sharing that year (yes, interns got profit sharing too and a 10% one at that one year!). At the picnic, they gave us all hot pink "Batwing" frisbees. Nice shaped item to commerorate a 0% bonus I think my dog ate it a few years ago...

                        Sounds very similar to the Peter Principle.

                        I applied for a government job once and was asked what my goals were. I said I just wanted to rise to my highest level of incompetency that's possible. Much to my disbelief, they actually hired me and then allowed me to do exactly that!!!

                          I worked for the Feds once too. Department of the Interior, Water Resources Division. Did programming in Fortran to manipulate data from water measurements. It was the summer after my worst year in college and I was considering the possibility of moving from EE to Computer Science and becoming a programmer. One summer of having to debug and fix other people's code was all that I needed to stay where I was!

                            All this catching up on posts fried my brain. I actually had to Google to figure out what "FUMU syndrome" and "batwing logo" stood for . That batwing company isn't doing too hot nowadays.
