VUDU Catalog is up on the website!

Hey everyone. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. Our catalog is now available to view on our website. It's current so you will know what's new on VUDU to own, rent, and so forth.

    http://www.vudu.com/catalog/browser.cgi

Unfortunately, you can't search for individual titles, but you can use the column on the left hand side to search the genres like you would on the VUDU box itself. Enjoy!

Thats may be the old page...try this one...

      http://www.vudu.com/catalog/browser.cgi

Navigate on the left side....have fun and watch the titles pop as you mouse over them....

If you still don't see the titles properly try clearing your browser cache....

I had the same problem the first time I used it until I moved the mouse over to some of the titles, then it seemed to have stopped.

Also when I mouse over a title it gives me the finger. Meaning that I should be able to click on the icon. But when I click or double click nothing happens. Just keep getting the finger from my mouse.

Just constructive feedback, overall it's definitely a big step in the right direction!!!

The behavior on that screen is eratic. If you switch to a different listing, and go back to the previous it seems to look OK. Some other browsing glitches happen in it also. I'm sure this will get "fixed" when they realize it.

I've also noticed that "reclicking" on the category will usually reload the posters and they'll stay on screen. I have filed an official bug report on this one.

I would really like this feature, but it is too buggy as yet to get a stable view. I have always wanted to have a list so that I can look up reviews before I watch a movie - we do like obscure foreign movies and like to avoid those clunkers.

                Thanks

BTW, can you get a web designer who has grown past black? It is incredibly hard to resolve information on all of the Vudu panels.

The web design follows the UI design on the VUDU box. What did they do it that way? You'll have to ask their marketing group for the answer.

I didn't understand what you meant at first. But if I do now, I agree it's very hard to read the info on the VUDU website with their black background.

They either need to make the text on the screens white or make the background lighter.

The website color scheme matches the VUDU box. I actualy like it.

I'm glad the catalog is now available online. This is a good start. Now they just need to add some kind of search option.

I browsed around and some posters don't have the movie title written in large enough font, so while this is very cool I'd find a mode that displayed movie title more useful. Or, at least, have each image link IMDB page.

P.S. With immediate catalog access in 1.4 software and this, it's nice to know that Vudu is listening to our suggestions

What's up now is not what will be up! What will be up is way cool and will be better but it's not yet ready for prime time...

Got my Vudu box today.... Alright! I installed it and validated my account. I can see all the credits in my account, but I'm still unable to browse the Catalog via the Vudu Web site. Even after I login and select -> Movies -> All Movies all I get back is a "Your request returned 0 results" message. What do I have to do to see the Movie Catalog online with a browser and to order movies that I want downloaded before I get home?
