Amen, there should be a Vudu app on Android. And a UV one. And Fllixster. And they should not try to screw root users either. We're still paying customers, even if we root! Netflix figured out how to play protected content for root users. So can the rest of you!

You should have an Android app yesterday.
Disc to Digital is converting discs to UV not Vudu. Vudu is just another channel to view UV movies. Its also the easiest way to view UV movies IMO. I think its easier for Vudu as opposed to Flixster because they sell and rent digital movies already so they have agreements in place to stream them.

Regarding the 5 free movies, can we really complain about something being offered for free, its a bonus? Thats kind of like telling cereal manufacturers to provide the extra 25% of cereal in a separate package instead of in the box because you want to take it to work. Well maybe not but you get the point.

Yes, an android app would be cool and needed for an android tablet since they are becoming more available. I cant even argue this as devils advocate, like echopulse said, netflix, flixster and amazon all have apps. I mean come on at least make an app for tablets (3.1+ OS).

Just redeemed my Ultraviolet copy of the Hunger Games last evening, vudu was the only non-itunes option (I'm NOT an apple user). I have spent most of today trying to get it to play on my Android tablet, very frustrated. My other Ultraviolet movies play through flixster without any trouble on two android tablets and a Droid, but the hunger games is not from a studio that shows up on the flixster feed. I'm very tech savvy and can usually work my way through any situation, this one is extremely frustrating. I can get the vudu app to function on my LG smart TV without issue, but it says right on the hunger games package and insert that you can view the Ultraviolet copy via tablets and smartphones. Please tell me how that is possible on an android device when vudu is the only streaming option. This is a really a poor introduction to vudu, not impressed. Also, why is there no Roku channel? You guys need to step it up.

I don't believe that for one second. Flixster, Amazon Instant Video, and others have Android apps that stream movies.

I have spoken with vudu support and the main reason is the movie studio. If the movie studio doesn't want an android application then then VUDU can't use one.

I personally will not spend another dime on VUDU.

Boycott vudu because they wont give me and an Android app? No. That is silly. Your silly. VUDU is a growing company that I support, they are doing a good job and making their best effort to satisfy us. I appreciate them.

    Re: Vudu for Android OS's?

I have talked to many people using Vudu who wish it had an Android app. Bad move on Vudu's part as most of these people, including myself, will migrate to another service if this isn't developed in the near future. There are too many Android devices out there not to have a Vudu app.

True except Flixster only plays WB, Sony, and Universal movies. No such luck for Paramount, Fox, or Dreamworks Animation.
