Video stopping every 5 min or so

    Hey,
    Is anyone experiencing the following?
My video freezes, rewinds a second or two, then continues on.
    5-10 min later, same thing...
Happened on the only two films I've watched so far. (Requiem for a dream, and Superbad)
I've got a pretty fast wireless connection, AND, I've paused my movies for up to 20 minutes to let the buffer load.
EVEN with most of the film loaded, this problem still happens.
    Any ideas, solutions?
Makes watching a Vudu movie a very unpleasant experience.
    Please help!

First make sure you antenna is fully seated. And try again.

There have been some folks that have experianced this issue and it turned out to be wireless interferernce. Since the remote is RF, noise can trigger unexpanced interations with the VUDU. There is a couple of things you can try:

    1) Decrease the sensitivity of the remote though settings on the VUDU. This can be done in the settings menu. There are 4 options. Try setting yours below of the current setting (lessen sensitivity)

    If that dosen't work then:

    2) Change the frequency of the remote and re-pair it with the VUDU. If you take off the battery cover on the remote there is a dip switch that you can change the frequency of the remote. After changing it you will have to re-pair with the VUDU. Here is the link:

      Hey, thanks..
I've re-seated the antenna.. it wasn't in all the way.
      So far so good...
But... How does the remote and it's connection to Vudu have anything to do with Video playback?
      Please advise.
      Thanks!

I don't think it was the remote. It's possible there was some sort of network glitch in the network that was causing this behavior. I've seen your behavior and it is what happens when you reach the end of the data that the box has streamed so far. I had it happen to me last night. Please post your box ID and software build information so Vudu engineers can have a looksie.

They way you descibed the problem was that this even happend when the content was almost fully downloaded. This tells me that your VUDU was picking up noise wich is translated to commands in the VUDU.

We have seen this before with antennas not attached or sometimes there is a electroinc device that generates the noise.

I am glad its working now.

Okay... Still no joy after seating the antenna...
Better, but, movies still stopping, not as frequent.
            Then..
I re-paired the remote by changing the dip switches and..
            Success!
            No issues so far.
            Very pleased!
            I think that did it.
A unique choice to use 49Mhz instead or IR.

              Actually, it's 432 MHz.

This was chosen over IR for a lot of reasons. The Vudu doesn't need to be line of site in order to use it (bury it in an AV cabinet). There is also a theory that the RF remote is faster when scrolling through a large list of movies.

                Thanks for the correction.
It was 'beer thirty' when I was changing the dip switches.
                Thanks!
                I now vudu.
