      Re: Movies Alphabetically Listed??

I now have a feature to sort and filter on my Visio television! THANKS!

What about the website? Is this site also going to have this feature soon?

Also, where can we find this news? Is there an email being sent to VUDU customers to tell us "what's new"?

Thank You Vudu! I like the implementation, you can change it right there on the screen! Please do add it to the website and iPad apps too.

            Re: Movies Alphabetically Listed??

I see it's sortable on my Sony Blu-Ray player at least in the browse section for buying / renting. I'd have to check whether the same is true of "My VUDU" collection page?

I don't see this functionality yet on the website in the My VUDU section?

I might also add that it wold be nice to have some way of sorting by rental and/or purchase price and specifying the "definition" as well as other aspects. For instance the ability to limit searches to Own, HDX, Sci-Fi, "under $10" (where under $10 applies to ownership of the HDX version of a sci-fi title). This should apply to all titles, be they catalog titles, new titles, sale titles, TV/movie titles, etc.

I'd love a way to see what I can get for a good deal. It would probably make me ore likely to make actual purchases. People are cheap, especially where it comes to digital-only purchases w/o physical media.

Frankly, I think most titles are currently way overpriced, given that fact. Why should I pay "retail" Blu-Ray price(s) for something that comes without physical media or all the "special features" contained thereon? I'm rather dismayed about that fact.

An ability to "search" for good deals would make me more likely to make an actual "purchase," if I can find titles I'm interested in at REASONABLE prices (sub-$10, preferably sub-$7).

Just my 2c. So, yes, sign me up as wanting better sorting for my "collection." I'm rather surprised it hasn't been built in from the start. Seems like one of those "necessary" features. The ability to actually FIND a movie one OWNS, in a non-haphazard way.

              Re: Movies Alphabetically Listed??

I have 2 blu-ray players: a Sony and a Samsung. It seems as though only the Sony player can list the My Vudu movies in alphabetical order. Is that correct? Am I missing something?

Thanks for any help in advance!

Right now sorting is very device-specific.

                  Re: Movies Alphabetically Listed??

I have a further suggestion for alphabetical titles. 2 actually. Can we get something that keeps titles in the right order? Example: Lord of the Rings trilogy. You would see The Fellowship, then Return of the King and then Two Towers. It's obvious the last 2 should be switched around, but there are many factors.

I only mention this because VUDU could make that easier and then put in the tags when we do a search to find things quickly and accurately. I have been using this for over a year and even though I don't know how things are programmed or work, I would like to contribute to make this better than everything out there and keep it that way.

My daughter watches Scooby-Doo. All movie titles are not the same format, meaning that all Scooby-Doo titles should start with Scobby-Doo in the front, then alphabatize from there. Example: Aloha Scooby-Doo would be in the A's instead of being with most titles always saying Scooby-Doo! before the title, like Scooby-Doo! and the Legend of the Vampire.

Now for the final suggestion. Why not also add a way to have titles in their own alphabet category. In Hulu, you can press the letter A and all the a titles would show up (in alphabetical order as well). This would be the greatest add on, considering that I have 130+ in movies. It's not annoying, yet......but I can see how some are if they want something and then having to look for it.

You are so right about the Sony & Samsung. I have 4 Samsung TV's, 3 Samsung Blu-ray players and 1 Sony Blu-ray player and the Sony player is the only one that sorts. In fact, I think it can sort in several different ways. I brought this up well over 2 YEARS ago and it's amazing to me that this can't be done. I have almost 700 movies on VUDU & I find it ridicules to have to page through my whole collection to find one of those 700 movies that I want to watch!!

I agree that it is very hard to use Vudu with a large library without any way to sort library. Out of all my devices with Vudu Samsung is the only one without sort.

Can we please get the sort feature added to the Samsung App?

                      Thanks

I only use Roku for viewing my Vudu movies and this device allows you to sort Alphabetically.

I don't think we need this feature, who watches movies on a computer? That's just silly!

(Maybe a little reverse psychology will get them to add this feature to the web page interface, PC, iOS, etc.)

The Xbox 360 app does the same; however I've moved and have yet to get Internet access again (due to the possibility of getting a new job out of state). Thus, I download a Vudu movie to my laptop a couple of times a week, and have to deal with 160+ titles in the order that I bought them. I can't imagine what it's like for those with 800+.
