    Movies Alphabetically Listed??

How hard is it to input code on your website/PS3 App to allow "My Movies" to be listed alphabetically?? I've called in about this and they keep saying they are working on it...

This is really an issue when you have 130+ movies on your Vudu account.

    Rant Over.

This issue has been addressed since 8th of May. It's just a matter of time before they fix it and I do see some improvements, It just takes time for them to fix it.

I would also like to see this feature added. Besides just alphabetically, it would be nice to see sorting by genre and year released.

          Found an odd half fix...

          1. Log into Vudu
          2. Unlink Vudu and UV
          3. Go to My Vudu and confrim that the titles you own that were not purchased through Vudu or D2D are gone
          4. In a 2nd browser Log into UV
          5. On UV select the options to view by title.
          6. re-link vudu to UV

Now when you go to "my vudu" you titles that were NOT purchased on this VUDU account will be in order. The titles that were purchased on the account will be listed after them in the same order they were.

I found this out because I was wondering why my sisters where in order when I set her up the other day. Turns out since to her account ALL of the titles were UV only it put them in order. when I did it to mine the D2D, and anything purchased On this account ended up at the bottom.

I did what you said, and it did somewhat re-order them. The first group of D2D was moved to the top, and they were in order. Then the last batch was next, followed by the previous, and so on. So now there are still about 5 groups they are just in a different order. I really hope they make it so we can sort alphabetically or by genre. It's a must have feature.

When I did it it moved all my Vudu and D2d to the bottom still in purchase order.
But everything that I added to my UV locker from other sources like Flixster or Redeemed UV codes went to the Top and was in alphabetic order.

But yeah... we need some tools to sort them... though I would prefer a Drag and drop interface so I can put them in the order I want. Else The Dark Knight is no where near Batman Begins

                Re: Movies Alphabetically Listed??

In my experience thus far, this is the single biggest problem and is what's preventing me from going too far into the VUDU system. It's like building a mansion and forgetting to put the roof on. IMO, VUDU has the best selection of HD movies, best quality, UV compatible, and has D2D which is outstanding when it works. But not sorting movies by title as the default and/or not having the ability to do any kind of sort is a fundamental mistake that needs to be rectified ASAP. Hopefully VUDU will update this soon.

I do too. My collection is getting bigger in size, and I want to build it even more, but I really need to be able to find my movies faster. I just noticed that my Wishlist is sorted alphabetically, why can't they apply the same code to the collection page.

                      Re: Movies Alphabetically Listed??

We really need to be able to sort the collection by name, date added, and rating/genre.

I have a lot of children's movies in my account, but my son has to navigate through all of my R-rated movies to find them. I have his PS3 set to ask for a password, but not the living room PS3. I would like to be able to sort them so that the animated or PG rated movies are at the top of the list, but then re-sort the list when I'm watching so that my movies are arranged alphabetically. I have about 100 movies and its inconvenient to scroll through the entire list...

Hopefully when a sort feature is added it will be included on the set top boxes and embedded players too. (Or am I only the person still using the BX250? ).

Alpha-numeric and chronological order would be great. Right now every thing seems to be listed by date purchased.

                          Re: Movies Alphabetically Listed??

I think we need the ability to create 'Sets' or 'Collections', even if this grouping/arrangement had to be done in a web browser not on device apps. This would allow you to create your Batman set or a Children's Movies collection (much like Vudu has done with their promo 5-movie sets).

Glad to hear the developers are working on the sort features (already exist in XBox app)

If this is done, it needs to be done as tags. That way, you could tag a movie, say, both "Family" and "Science Fiction", and it would come up when you click on either. Single genre categorization is one of the stupidest things I've had to deal with in organizing a media collection. You could even tag a PG-13 movie with the name of an older child but not a younger one, and they could look at everything tagged with their name to see what's appropriate.
