    Movie Stops Playing

When watching movies on my computer, Windows 7 with Firefox, sometimes the movie stops playing, and the window just closes. I have a very good internet connection, it doesn't buffer, just totally stops. It's annoying.

I get this on my iPhone too, wish there was a way to download with the Vudu player app like Flixster does.

I see this topic is several months old, and yet I'm encountering the very same issues. Windows 7, using both chrome and firefox I'm able to watch 2-7 minutes of video before the video stops. No error, just a small 'window' with the title of the video and the close button.

I have the same issue of the movie stopping and closing ever since the VUDU website changed about three to four months ago. It was a distinct change of one day it worked the next day it did not. I tried updating the Flash player to the latest, but didn't work. Even tried using other browsers. I no longer watch VUDU movies on the PC, I buy them from somewhere else and only watch VUDU on my player.

            Dudley,

My apologies for the issues you've encountered with PC streaming. Have you created a support ticket about the issue? If not, please do so so we can take a better look.

I also have experienced a movie suddenly stopping. I exited the app and restarted it. I did not have any further problems. I use a Boxee unit.

I have this same issue watching 42 and "The Host." Should get a credit for all the trouble couldn't even watch The HOst. Got 30 MB from ISP, wired gigabit router, Asus laptop with plenty of RAM, core duo i7, Windows 7. Can't use Vudu and ticked at having paid for moves that stop every few minutes for no reason.

                  Re: Movie Stops Playing

Having the same problem for easily my last 3 movies. Have a 16GB, Quad-core, MacBook Pro Retina, 5Ghz Wifi connection that tests WELL over 90Mb consistently (I actually have 150Mb Cox Ultimate connection) and it doesn't matter which browser I use IE/FF/Chrome. Seen the EXACT same issue on my PC which has specs you likely wouldn't believe (software developer workstation).

A simple message explaining WHY it happens when it does would go a LONG way.

As it is, I'm about ****ed off enough between this and the shotty Android support that I'm going to switch to Amazon or DirecTV on Demand since despite Vudu claims, they are easily as fast, if not faster in providing streaming (World War Z for example, was buy-only on Vudu long after it was available to stream/rent on DirecTV).
