Slingbox might be another solution to look into.

Companies realized that most people prefer experience of watching TV/movie on TV screens, so that's why you are seeing a move away from traditional PC-based VOD services to living-room friendly set-ups like Vudu, Apple TV, Amazon Unbox on TiVo, Xbox Marketplace on 360, Playstation store on PS3, Netflix on 360 or Roku box, etc.

Still, if that doesn't suit you -- there are PC-based alternatives for movies and shows out there. There is even free stuff like Hulu and TV network sites.

I could hook the vudu box up to my mointer. But that is undesireable for what I am wanting. I will just have to find another product that can meet my needs.

    Thanks

The last three PC monitors I've owned have had HDMI/DVI, component, and Svideo connections. They may have had a vga connection too.

    Re: Vudu on the computer?

Thanks for the post. One of the reasons VUDU has been so successful is that most movie watchers didn't want to watch their video on the computer but on their large screen TV.

At this time VUDU is a hardware product and unless your computer monitor has a HDMI, Component or Composite inputs the VUDU will not display.

There is no "software VUDU" that runs on the computer, but as has been stated here before the VUDU product is always evolving and as market forces change the VUDU product can change.
