Do you think at some point the Blu-Ray disks will show up on the D2D service?

Are you saying that the transfer is somehow different from the bluray set, or are you just comparing to other HDX transfers?

I just recently purchased this trilogy BD Extended edition on best buy for 40 bucks.. So I emailed WB to see if they would hook it up with UV codes. They just asked me for the proof of purchase. I just emailed it to them. Awaiting response... Wish me luck..

Let us know what happens. I hope WB sends you codes for the extended HDX files.

Re: HDX -- The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (Extended Edition)

I put all these movies on my D2D list and noticed the price was $5(HDX) and not the normal $2(HDX).

Is it because of them being extended versions ?

No. $5 is the price to convert DVD to HDX. Blu-ray versions of these movies are not on D2D yet.

This is really strange that you can pick either the SD or the HDX but its listed as only being able to be converted from DVD?

FYI, I went ahead to Wal-Mart and did the D2D service for these 3 great films. I had to help the clerk located the DVD versions and paid the $5 price tag for each (which is kind of a bummer), but the transfers are fantastic and I am very happy. If they are added to D2D later maybe I can ask for a refund of the difference, but I'm not too worried about it.

I think I might be doing this then and adding both the theatrical and the extended cuts.
