New VUDU Bonus Code for Movie Credits -- Maybe

FYI Walmart has new Pre-Order Program cards out for new xbox and ps3 video games that have the $4.99 VUDU Movie Credit option as a bonus code. The only thing is that with this new batch of cards the bonus code will not work at zrewards.com to get the vudu redemption code. I've purchased and tried cards from 8 different games. Looks like either the scratch off bonus codes on the packaging were generated incorrectly (don't appear to be random like before) or the cards just aren't valid yet in the zreward.com system (Incomm / Adility vendor)? Be curious if anyone from VUDU has information on this issue.

I received a prompt response from the VUDU team in case anyone else has purchased these cards:

Thank you for contacting VUDU customer support. Since it sounds like the issue is at zrewards.com not accepting the codes to get the VUDU codes you will need to contact support at Walmart: help@walmart.com
If there is an issue after you have the VUDU codes then please contact us.
If you have any other questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Best Regards,

That would be nice. Couple days ago I tried to redeem a $1 Promo and I was denied. Just think of the person that redeems 5 of these $1 promos and then they're done.

Looks like that is the case. I hit my limit. I had a $5 code that I tried today and just like last weeks measley $1 code it was denied. I gave it away to a buddy.

I think the 5 limit is counter-productive and some will open up bogus or second or dummy accounts just to redeem them and VUDU ends up with a bunch of accounts that will not really be used.

Sucks that game buyers and movie buyers can't use these more than 5 times

It seems that way. We can only use 5 credits here on Vudu.

Over at CinemaNow there is no limit.

But CN is not up to speed at updating its movie database to reflect those that are now Ultraviolet.

you would think after 1 year of service the credit limit would be reset. I mean when you pay 9.99 to 14.99 for dvds? and you can't use the 5.00 credit. If the entire point was to make sure you didn't just use credit and build up huge amounts etc allow only 5.00 to be removed from a purchase no matter how much credit you have after your initial credit whether its 25.00 5 x codes at 5.00 or 50.00 5 10.00 codes etc.

cost 24.99 your still in your first 5 redemptions = full redemption afterwards
your cost is now 19.99 you can only use 5.00 worth of credit no matter how much you have.

would allow us to pay 4.99 for 9.99 movies what best buy is currently doing right now in store with their dvd to Blu-ray redemptions and what warner brother is doing with dvd2blu. Since 5.00 buys you rentals very few movies are under 5.00 I can point out like 3 that is 4.99 and hd only not hdx. mainly leprechaun movies:P anyways that is my rant.

I have similar concerns. I understand it's used to drive new business but the longer the company is in business the more it's existing (not new) people buying things with the credits. Either find another way to drive new business, IE new email sign-up gets $25 automatically or allow existing customers access, or at least after a set time.

Even a rewards program where every so many dollars in rentals and / or purchases earns so so much in rewards.

The current structure is just an annoyance for existing customers.

That's why you need multiple accounts, all tied to one master UV account! hehehe.

Well even with that you're going to max out at 3~5 accounts so you end up in the same place, but a bit later.
