    Digital Bundles

    VUDU Developers,

It would sure be nice if we had a way to "unpack" a digital bundle so each individual title would appear in our library. It gets confusing sometimes when we forget that a movie we're looking for is in a digital bundle.

Another great enhancement would be to allow us to create our own bundles, or collections, to group movies together. For example, someone may want to create a "James Bond" bundle/collection and place all bond movies in that bundle or someone may want to create a "Clint Eastwood" bundle and put all their Clint Eastwood movies in that bundle.

With my library really starting to grow (almost 300 titles and growing) and it would really be nice to be able to further organize my movies.

In other words, please let us create custom playlists and let the entire content of the playlist play in sequence without having to click START each time one title ends and another is queued up to play next.

Personally, I would like to see a new tab added to "My Vudu" for "My Collections":

        __My Movies________My TV________My Collections________My Wishlist__

What would be in "My Collections?" Both movies and TV combined?

It would contain what we call bundles today. Each bundle, or collection, we would create. We would name our collection and select titles that we own to be placed in the collection. These titles would also continue to show under 'My Movies' as they do today.

After reading what nycomet wrote...perhaps we should also be allowed to sequence the movies inside the collection oursleves. In other words, we would choose which movie is first, second, and third.

I wasn't thinking about television content, but I think that would be a good idea...to allow us to select movies and/or television shows to be bundled into a collection.

Bundling is something I hope for, too. Not sure I'd use a playlist function right now, but would if I watched TV shows on Vudu.

I'm sure I could call and say, "hey, I have all the original Spider-Man movies, would you add the bundle and delete the individuals" and the same for some other available bundles. I remember others getting that to work, but that is a lot of work for me and the service rep, so I doubt I'll do it.

I am not looking for playlist functionality either, just a way that allows us to organize our collection is a way that makes sense to us and that allows us to find movies more easily.

I am also thinking that a movie may also show up in multiple "collections".

Obviously, we want to be able to use the sort feature for the entire collection. However, a NEW TAB (called PLAYLISTS) would be amazing as it would allow us to create custom playlists of our favorite movies and TV shows.

For example, one could create a Halloween or Christmas playlist. Ideally, once a user creates a custom playlist, all of the files in the folder should automatically play in sequence without the need to click PLAY to start the next file.

I think a new tab is a must for this type of functionality. They can call it "My Playlists" or "My Collections" or whatever. Sorting these bundles is something that would be needed, but once you open a "collection" (or whatever they choose to call it) I think we would want to have the movies displayed in either alphabetic or or in some sequential order that we can control.

I don't think I would want any type of automatic playing to happen just because I want to open a collection to view the movies that I've placed in the collection. Perhaps we need a play to press PLAY for the collection and it would play everything in the collection, but if we open a collection we would have to press PLAY for individual titles like we do today.

Anybody at Vudu seeing this? What do you guys think?

With so many titles in my library, it's getting harder and harder for me and my family to find the movies. And I don't think we're finished adding and purchasing movies. The addition of a "My Collections" tab and the ability to create collections (custom bundles) would really help us.

                        PLEASE....

If you don't mind, I will wait for an offical Vudu response. Without a response then I cannot be "sure" that they have seen it.

My posting does not force you to stop waiting. My posting also does not impede Vudu from responding. (In fact, I COULD make a case that my post may promote a response from Vudu.) Carry on.
