    Friends: The Complete Series

Has anyone on this forum purchased "Friends: The Complete Series"? I ask because when you read the description it says:

Enjoy all original broadcast episodes completely remastered in 1080p High-Definition video, 16x9 widescreen format and "5.1 audio".

But when you select each of the individuals seasons, the audio is indicated at "Dolby Digital Stereo" so I'm not sure which one it is?

Do they have a free 2 minute preview like movies have? If so, see what your audio decoder tells you about the soundtrack.

No, they don't appear to have a preview like they do with movies.

I would like to know the answer to your inquiry as well.

Interestingly, Dreamworks Dragons Riders of Berk indicates the series is Dolby Stereo. But the individual episodes state they are Dolby Digital 5.1. Since I have the HDX series, I can confirm Riders of Berk is indeed 5.1, but that doesn't answer your question about Friends.

        Sorry.

When I went into episode 1 of season 1 it allowed me to watch the first 2 minutes.

You can view that without the 2-minute preview. That 'More Info' tab indicates that it's Dolby Digital 5.1 for HD and HDX. SD is Dolby Digital Stereo.

The OP noted a discrepancy in his post. That's why he was asking what encoding was really used.

Where are you seeing the "More Info" tab? I don't even get this tab when I select the series.

There is definitely a discrepancy between what the info for the whole season and the episodes state.

                    Friends: Season 1 (More Info)
Friends: The One Where Monica Gets a Roommate (a.k.a The One Where It All Began) (More Info)

                          Has anyone done the math?

How much does it come to per episode for the HDX complete series bundle?

$187.99 divided by 234 episodes in the 10 seasons. Comes to a little over $0.80 per episode.
