Unacceptable and I hope that others do not purchase the films until they get fixed ratios.
That's definitely unfair. Films with incorrect ratios shouldn't be advertised on front page, especially if the development teams knows about the issue.

I'm glad that Vudu is working hard on fixing this issue, however. I hope we hear some good news on an update soon.

Add The Devil's Advocate and Hostel. Both are 2.35:1 but showing up in 1.78:1.

As prkprkprk had mentioned, I had sent out a private message. From it:

We are working on multiple solutions to this problem simultaneously - some are longer term solutions targeting our procurement workflow and others are short term fixes. I am, directly, researching automated means to flag suspicious movies. In addition, I am trying to work with the team to see if some changes to the UI are possible (like sample screenshots of the encodes along with the preview; this could allow our users to quickly notice issues). Will keep posting updates to this thread.
Meanwhile, while VUDU fixes the aspect ratio & quality of Ben-Hur, other UVVU sites like M-Go and CinemaNow have Ben-Hur in its correct aspect ratio (at least M-Go does, and I'm pretty sure I've seen the same for CinemaNow)

The first time I tried was using my iPad. That had the really screwed up AR. Tried at home on the big screen and all versions are just 1.78:1 no stretch.

Vudu probably got different versions of the movie from the studio accidentally (I'm guessing some of these crops were made for HBO), while CinemaNow appears to have obtained the correct versions. Thanks for notifying me of Selena, I'll put that on the list (Congo is already on the list).

                    Add two more:

The Young Victoria - 1.78:1 instead of 2.40:1

                    Ever After - 1.78:1 instead of 2.35:1

I found these movies to have ratio issues:

                      Fatal Attraction
                      Frankenstein (1931)
                      Godzilla vs. Monster Zero

I see in Vudu's reply they claimed they were going to try to fix all of these. Have they actually changed ANY? I'm guessing no.

Oh, and you can add Mr. & Mrs. Smith. OAR 2.35:1, VUDU 1.78:1

Not that I'm aware of. They're all still incorrect.

They need to include this under the title or features of the movie. I don't wanna keep wasting money on these titles that are incorrect. Picked up Celeste and Jesse Forever and after converting it in d2d at home its in 1.85:1 instead of its correct 2.40:1 OAR. If I paid the full price for the movie on Vudu, I would be very angry. This needs to be corrected.
