If you call customer service, they should refund your money. I have called in for refunds when I purchased movies that were in the wrong aspect ratio. Wrong aspect ratio is a total deal breaker.

I would think they’ll just tell me to buzz off, especially given the age of the purchase.

This new Movies Anywhere service is kind of cool. Amazon Prime Instant Video has several titles Vudu has wrong in the correct aspect ratios. The only one that seems to be in the wrong ratio absolutely everywhere is Refn’s Drive.

I'm curious to know if The Brides of Dracula original AR of 1.66:1 has been retained, or if it has been cropped to 2:1

The Wizard of Oz is cropped to 1.78.

No, they will give you a refund.

They refunded me when I bought Frankenweenie (the original) and found it was in the wrong aspect ratio.

CALIFORNIA SPLIT (1974) starts off in its intended aspect ratio, 2.35 : 1 and then switches and stays at 1.85:1.

STALAG 17 is 16:9. Should be 4:3. Just bought it and it's unwatchable like this.

Thanks for this. So upset to see Ben-Hur in pan&scan. Got a refund.

FYI Amazon streaming service provides Ben-Hur (1959) in the correct aspect ratio.

                        Connect VUDU to Movies Anywhere.
Most of the movies that have Ratio problems are the correct ratio on the Movies Anywhere app.

There is no excuse for INDIANA JONES movies to have the wrong screen ratio.... That should have been fixed years ago....

These were already fixed. It took Vudu over 5 years, but they're OK now.

This is a crime. Best Picture, Director, Actor, Editing, Set Design, AND Cinematography (for the 70mm Cinemascope!) and we can't watch it on Vudu, we have to go to one of their competitors to view this as it was intended. Please Vudu, you are getting buried by the market and you can't even fix things that have been broken for a decade. I don't want to see you go the way of Flixster, M-Go & CinemaNow.

I think VUDU still has the best interface over Amazon, Fandango Now or Movies Anywhere and they are my over all favorite BUT they need to stay on top of things and fix these issues.
Issues like this should be easy to fix... Compile a list of titles, call and/or eMail the studio, explain to them that they don't have the proper ratio and request a new encode?
