I recently purchased the documentary 'American Scary', and it's wrong. I'm watching on my Ipad, and the image clearly needs to be wider. Everything is 'squashed' looking.

The Wizard of Oz original aspect ratio is actually 1.37:1 which is slightly wider than 4x3 (1.33:1).

Gone with the Wind and many other movies from that era are also 1:37:1 but I haven't checked to see if Vudu has them in the original aspect ratio.

I'ma just hijack this for a second. I have no idea if "Chronicles Of Riddick: Dark Fury" is in the incorrect format, but my God was the quality TERRIBLE! Seeing that it is a cartoon and all, I am sure that it is FF (black bars on the left and right), that's understandable to me. But the quality.... uuggghhh

It's stretched on my computer. But it looks fine on my Roku 3 and PS3.

BTW, in 8 days this thread will be a year old. Barely any of the titles have been fixed.

To take that amount of time to correct issues with these movies is absolutely ridiculous.

I enjoy VUDU, but taking that long to correct something as important as aspect ratios of movies is very poor customer service.

Many of the titles that I have purchased on here I've started buying on blu-ray so I can properly enjoy them.

AH. Ok. I do own it in HDX, but I was watching on my Ipad and Ipad always plays the SD version.

Still, I'd like to see it fixed in the SD, too.
