    Merging Two Vudu Accounts

    Hey folks!

I haven't heard back from Vudu when I sent in a ticket (so far) so I thought I'd ask here.

Back when Vudu first came out, I set up a trial account. After the free trial (under one email username), I let it lapse.

I got into Vudu and set up my account on my other email address (yes I forgot about the first one). So technically I have two accounts.

In a senior moment, I bought the James Bond collection with my older account...oops.

Rather than logging out and in to get to the other account with the Bond movies, is there a way to merge the older account (only has the 007 movies) with my newer account (which has all of my other vudu movies)?

    Thanks.

Whoops. I don't know if that is possible. However, you could ask for a refund, and then purchase again in your new account.

I may do that - I'm hoping they will get back to me . I went to Vudu on my PS3 and couldn't find any menu that allowed me to even log out of the account. At best the user interface vague; that is normally something that's prominently displayed.

It would mean that I could only access the older account with $200+ worth of James Bond movies via pad or computer

I think it might be possible.
I think once a mod catches this thread they might be able to help.
Your probably going to have to submit a support ticket.

I submitted a ticket and after waiting a few days, they "escalated" the petition to merge the older account into the newer one.

I didn't realize this was such a big deal.

I did find that when using my PS3 and my BluRay player upstairs, there's no menu item to "log out" so I couldn't switch accounts even if I wanted to

It's odd the way they set up the app because if you decide to sell/recycle the BlueRay player for example, there isn't a way to remove the account information so you'd be vulnerable to having your account accessed by others.

A quick call to their customer service line seems to have solved the issue. They have a tech doing the merger now. I'm a happy boy!

Keep in mind the autofill feature of browsers, that's how I got tripped up.

Actually if you log into your account on line, and then go to devices, you can deactivate your PS3 or any other device you have in there and it will log you out and kill the ability to watch movies on the PS3.

Customer care sorted it with a brief phone call yesterday, thanks for offering. The case number was 0306-707.

Watched a Bond movie last night, buying the bundle was well worth it

Thanks for that tip ydkjman, I'll keep that in mind just in case my wife or I blow it again lol.

I am starting to see a pattern. Months ago...probably middle of last year, I asked if I could get accounts merged and got a ticket # but they never contacted me.

Another option is to enter your second email as another another email on your account. You are allowed to share your uv account across (5 or 6 I think) emails.

                          Re: Merging Two Vudu Accounts

This is a good idea. I have two Vudu accounts only because each offered a slightly different set of movies I could own for signing up. So I used both of my email addresses to obtain each set of movies. Not to mention had to sign up for two Ultraviolet accounts (which I later merged). It's kind of funny because on my PS3 I can watch all of my movies from all my various accounts, even my two Vudu accounts on one Vudu account. We should be able to merge two of them.

My husband and I have two separate accounts from before we got married. Now that we are together, we want to put both of our accounts onto one, but we shouldn't have to re-purchase all of the movies in our collections. Any way to merge them so we don't have to keep logging out and logging into each other's accounts???
