In other threads some people are saying it's kinect. If you unplug your kinect see what happens.

Basically when the kinect is plugged in it's reserving some of the GPU of the xbox so on high bitrate encodes it can sometimes have trouble playing back.

If you don't have a kinect then nevermind.

Hmmm... Let me look into this with the XBOX360 here in the office. I'll report what I find.

Update: I have filed a bug for this. I'll let you all know of the outcome.

The Hobbit HDX spcifically on XBox stutters...

I'm not sure what is going on with this particular movie.

I have the Ultraviolet copy registered and when I go into VuDu and play the Hobbit on my XBox(set at 1080p) in HDX, it always has a stuttery look to it. Even when I back it down to HD it still has a stuttery look to it. SD looks ok. When I look at the meter, I have 3 bars and the HDX symbol is lit.

I don't understand why this movie has an issue on my Xbox because, every other Ultraviolet movie I have(about a dozen) including Skyfall, play PERFECT in HDX on my XBox's(I have 2).

The Hobbit also plays 100% perfect on my PS3 in HDX on the SAME TV and plays perfect on my WD Live SMP on another TV in HDX.

The only time I have an issue is when playing The Hobbit on HDX/HD through my XBox. No other movies give me any issues whatsoever in HDX.

I have a 30/4mbps connection and it is rock solid.

Again, all other devices play the Hbbit in HDX fine and all other Ultraviolet movies play perfectly in HDX on the XBox.

    Any thoughts on this?

    Thanks
Working...
