    Roku 3

Just received my Roku 3. I can not connect to VUDU. I was on the chat line with Roku for 1 hr 45 min, I still can not connect to VUDU. I can connect to all other channels except for VUDU. Any ideas?

    Re: Roku 3

Are you connecting wired or wireless? I heard there were problems with Roku 3 and wireless connections. I'm waiting on my first Roku (the Roku 3) but I'm going to be connected with a wired connection so hopefully there are no problems?

      Re: Roku 3

When I tried the Roku 3 when it first came out I had no problem connecting to Vudu so I know it does work. Make sure it has all the updates though.

        Re: Roku 3

Try deleting the Vudu Channel on your Roku 3 then add it back. I had to do that once with my Roku 2 to get Vudu to work on it (all of the other channels worked, just Vudu didn't). After the delete - re-add channel procedure, Vudu works fine now on my Roku 2 XS.

Keep in mind that if you do this, you might need to go to the Vudu website and "manage your devices" as deleting and re-adding the Vudu channel will result in TWO listings of the same Roku 3 box. Just deleted one of them (the older listing).

If you are wireless, is the signal between your router and the Roku 3 box strong enough? I had that problem but when I moved my Roku to a different location (on top of my entertainment center instead of on a shelf) my signal strength jumped from "good" to "excellent" and I was able to connect AND stream HDX movies as well.

            Re: Roku 3

I was exploring the Roku Channel Store and I saw FLIXSTER there. I thought - WOW! Maybe I can watch some of my UV titles that aren't on Vudu on Flixster on my Roku 2 XS!!!

I installed Flixster only to discover that it only plays TRAILERS. I hope that Flixster will soon be able to stream movie and TV shows on the Roku. I have a few titles on Flixster that are not on Vudu.

Please write to them & request the full app!

I wrote to them in late March & this was their reply:

ROKU is not currently a supported device for video playback. As UltraViolet continues to grow, you will most likely see expanded service to more devices and formats. At present, we do not have a time frame for this service. Sorry for any inconvenience.
