    Buffering

I'm really frustrated with my VUDU account. I haven't been able to watch a movie yet that wasn't interrupted every 10 minutes to buffer or reestablish connection. The only post I've seen addressing "buffering" says to unplug my ROKU for 10 seconds to free up memory. This didn't work. I'm ready to give up on VUDU and try something else!

    Hello Salmon,

Please create a help ticket so that customer care can assist you in resolving your buffering issues. If you're Roku is using a wireless connection, make sure you are withing range of your WiFi signal and have plenty of sustained bandwidth for the desired video quality you have chosen.

I'm new to Vudu and needed to submit a support ticket. Luckily I found this post because the link you cite does not appear within the support section of the Vudu website, or I was unable to find it. I can view a list of my cases, but there is no link to submit a question!

        Re: Buffering

I never used to have this problem but now, all of a sudden in the past couple weeks, it's been happening more and more frequently for me, too. It is incredibly frustrating.

I have a 40/15 download/upload stream in my house and I have my Vudu account hardwired to one TV through a Roku 2 XS box, another TV is connected and hardwired through my Oppo BDP-95. The last TV is wireless and connected to Vudu via the television's apps. Again... two of the three televisions are HARDWIRED via my network on a 40/15 stream.

This has been flawless with Vudu and everything else for four months now but, within the last two weeks, no matter what television I watch Vudu on, I'll inevitably get a "Buffering" error at some point. The night before last, while I watched THE BARRENS, it "buffered" 5 times in 30 minutes. Last night, it happened again watching MEMOIRS OF AN INVISIBLE MAN, but it only happened twice. But, even ONCE is unacceptable on a connection like mine.

This is something that I don't have any problems with using other services like Amazon Instant, Hulu + or Netflix. This only happens with Vudu and it's only started doing this within the last few weeks.

Doing the "Network Test" on Vudu settings, it's always showing a 9+ meg signal and always recommends HDX, but I get buffering now with just about everything I watch.

I have Vudu on two different TV's. One via an original vudu bx100, the other via a roku 2/hd. Any time I plan to watch a movie I power cycle whichever device I am going to use as a matter of course otherwise I run into the buffering issue with the roku, or freezing/rebooting issues with the bx100. I don't have this issue at all watching Amazon Prime TV or Movies on my Roku so I'm not sure what is going on.
