Don't all BD Players support CC? Are u referring to CC from VUDU streams? If so, you select CC from your Account page under Closed Caption Settings. However, not all VUDU movies have CC.

I Seem to be running into the same problem regarding Close Caption!! I have the Close Caption box checked in my account. I have yet to see a movie through VUDU, allowing me to watch with Close Caption. I have talked with customer support and was told about the box in the account settings. I really would like to resolve this problem as my wife is hearing impaired and this problem of not having the close caption or subtitles makes this difficult to view let alone rent a movie.
I have over Forty movies in my account and half of them are new.. I would think that these would be able to be seen with the close caption feature turned on. If someone could help with this problem I would really appreciate it.

I searched a while back on which movies have captions on VUDU. It's a short list:
        https://forum.vudu.com/showthread.ph...31#post1218531

If you check the VUDU Overview tab for your movie, you can see if it shows "Available Subtitles: English". The movie "Brave" should give you a view of what you should see.

That same thread covers the debate on captions that's been going for years online.

Yes, there are very few Vudu movies that offer CC. On top of that, there are very few devices that offer this capability as well. The only device that I own that I know will do the CC on the movie (if offered by Vudu) is the Roku 3. I'm not sure if my Oppo 103 will do the CC if I choose to? I will have to check on this one of these days?

The last time I sent an email to closd_captioning@vudu.com, I never got a response and when I mentioned this address to Vudu customer support, they didn't even know it existed.

From my reading of the FCC regs, they are required to respond within 30 days, or you can complain to the FCC.
                    http://www.fcc.gov/guides/captioning...eo-programming

New movies should start to have captions since the first deadline of September 30, 2012 has passed. As long as they are shown on TV with captions, they must put captions on the Internet video.

Older movies have until March 30, 2014. Then within 45 days after the date it is shown on TV with captions they must have captions on the Internet version too.
