I am trying to understand more about device support. (I started this on the Disk-to-Digital thread, but it really does not belong there, as these are not exactly conversion issues).
When I view a title on my Xbox, there are logos/icons showing iOS, PC, and TV. But when I look at a title on my PC, no logos are displayed, just the "PC not supported" message in the upper right, if it's not supported.
There is no indication of Android support. I recently open a case asking about that, and I received the following from Vudu customer care:
"I took a look into this for you and it seems that if the movie is not supported for PC playback the same will apply to any of the Android devices."
So from this, I infer that PC Support = Android support. This morning, I converted Mr. & Mrs. Smith from Bluray (using Vudu-to-Go), and while PC support is provided, I don't have the ability to view it on Android.
Is "TV" always supported? (I am assuming that includes Xbox, DVD/Bluray players, and similar devices, but I'm not sure). What, exactly does that mean?
Any help or clarification is appreciated. I have over 500 films in my Vudu & Ultraviolet accounts, and I have problems with only 4 titles. I'm thinking this is more of a database issue that a true device support issue, but I'm open to suggestions.
