This comes up a lot, and I'm a broken record for saying it, but I use and like Sonos adapters. They will do up to 100mps.

I was one of the beta testers for the Vudu wireless adapter (it is an OEM version of the ASUS kit). I don't use it anymore, but I must say it really works great. I got pretty much the same results as hard-wired bandwidth for testing. I think you will be very pleased with how well they work, and how darn easy they are to set up.

Only 100 mb/s? I have been using the Corinex AV200 (both powerline and coax) adapters and they can do up to 200 mb/s.

              http://www.corinex.com/product/16.html

I'm seeing actual speeds of ~120 on the powerline and ~175 on the coax.

I'll stick with my Cat5e Gigabit network I've been using since 2001.
I can hit over 600mbs throughput.

I have a Gigabit hardwired network also. Unfortunately, I didn't run it to my A/V location in the family room. I didn't see the need in 1998, when the house was built. I use the powerline adapters to get my network there. For the coax, I use a network bridge to extend my network over to my dad's house next door and the coax adapters to get good connectivity from his upstairs bedroom down to his family room (where his Vudu is located). That's why I have 5 Vudus on my network but only 4 of them are really "mine".

I agree with aaronwt, I'd much rather use a wired gigabit network then wireless, especially for Video. Although, unlike aaronwt I use mostly Cat6. Also, it doesn't hurt that most all my hardware (i.e. router, switches, NAS, etc...) have gigabit ports which I utilize.
