Organizing & Navigating My Vudu Library

I've purchase a few movies on MY VUDU and stored them on the internal XL harddrive. When I navigate to "Movies I Own" there doesn't seem to be a wide variety of ways to view, filter, or sort my own library. The movies themselves seem to show up on the screen in the order in which they were purchased.

Is there a way to search or filter my own library of movies stored in the VUDU box by Genre or Movie Type? Maybe sort descending with the most recently purchased movie first? Or if my wife wants to go watch the latest and greatest movie that we've purchased based on the movie's release data (not necessarily the date that I purchased the movie per se)...can this be querried?

I've got alot of the HDX demo movies on my box and it would be nice to filter out the movies with "size less than 10min" etc, too.

Just a thought - seems like a lot of tought has gone into the "Rent Now" interface, but very little design effort has been placed on easing the navigation of a library of hundreds of moviews once they are purchased and saved to the internal harddrive.

Yep you are right. Many of us would like to be able to sort our TV and Movies and a have submitted the requests here on the boards.

But the VUDU software is always being upgraded so maybe soon in the future VUDU will address this issue.

Yes, this has long been a sore spot - especially if you've bought TV series.

It's been a long time since there were updates to this area - I'm very pleased with the other stuff VUDU has been working on in the meantime, but I'm ready for them to pay attention to this area pretty soon.

Re: Organizing & Navigating My Vudu Library

The proposed solution for TV has been to just browse through TV purchasing interface. With regards to movies, it's obviously not going to work as well since there are 12,000 or so of them.

P.S. I thought movies were arranged alphabetically?

I see this thread was started 4 years ago so has this been rectified? I recently bought a couple movies and used the disc to digital program for several more but I can't figure out how to sort movies by name. I hope I didn't just throw my money away, sorting movies by name should be as basic as it gets.

          Any info would be appreciated.

          Thanks
