    Provisioning?

I recently had the main board replaced on my LG 55LA6200 TV. Since then I'm getting an "invalid hardware ID" error message. I've been reading about something on this site called "provisioning" that your techs are apparently able to do. Would it be possible for you to help me out with this problem? LG tech is worthless. My hardware ID is

    LGE-TCA SCC2D8C 640B059 4F9A4B5

Anything you can do or suggest would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks Ron C

    Hi Ron,

Our apologies, but we will not be of much help in this case. We've seen this issue a few times in the past. You will need to contact LG support again for a resolution. In some cases, they have had to reprogram the main board. If you have any trouble, please let us know.

That is pretty bizarre - your 55LA6200 should have a HWID prefix of "LGE-LA62 ?." "LGE-TCAS" isn't a valid HWID prefix for *any* known model that I can see. As Dan said, maybe they have the wrong firmware on the board?

        Re: Provisioning?

Thanks for the responses. Unfortunately I've spent the last two months dealing with LG and it's really not worth it to have them run me around again. I can still access VUDU on my BR player and my Roku so I guess I'll just have to settle.

Thanks again. I'll check in from time to time to see if someone else has any ideas.

              Hi Dan,

This is getting interesting. LG contacted one of the contractors that have been dealing with my problem with VUDU. He was out on Fri. He was the same guy that discovered that my problem was a pinched wire and fixed it. The whole thing with VUDU was foreign to him and he left letting me know that he will be contacting LG tomorrow (Mon) to get some advice. I'm seriously "up to here" with trying to revolve my life around trying to get VUDU. I do love your service but there is a limit and I've nearly reached it. I guess we'll see what happens tomorrow.
