The Fandango at Home Forums are designed to help viewers get the most out of their Fandango at Home experience. Here, Fandango at Home customers may post information, questions, ideas, etc. on the subject of Fandango at Home and Fandango at Home -related issues (home theater, entertainment, etc). Although the primary purpose of these forums is to help Fandango at Home customers with questions and/or problems with their Fandango at Home service, there are also off-topic areas available within the Fandango at Home Forums for users to chat with like-minded people, subject to the limitations below.

Vudu network service down?

    Vudu network service down?

    Hello: Is anyone experiencing a Vudu network service outage besides me? I perform the vudu test and my internet connection is fine as is my network (hence, this forum post), but there is a vudu network service outage. I have not been able to connect to the vudu service for over 24 hours now. I emailed support and still no word.

    Try rebooting your box (remove power and reapply). I had this happen to me the other night and a reboot fixed it. Not sure why. Could be something with the new 2.1 firmware that was not seen previously.

      I was in the middle of watching some vuduTV and the box just instantly went into an update mode. Took about 10 minutes but everything seems to be working fine now.

      Maybe this newest update has something to do with that??

      If not, any idea what the update consists of? I've never seen an update mid-day before.

        I just checked the software version on my box. It's 2.1.1 Wasn't it 2.1.0 yesterday??

          Yeah, a new release just in time for Christmas - and I bet you won't be seeing those audio glitches after playing around in Vudu labs!

              I got the update this afternoon then I noticed that " Vudu Labs" has disappeared. Has anyone else noticed this?

                A 'reboot' should bring it back (i.e. power cycle the box).

                      Yes, except instead of getting the Blue Screen of Death you get the Green Screen of Death and it flashes subliminal frames of Jihad to America!!!

                        This should not happen. If you are using the box, your experience should not be interrupted. Perhaps if you were watching VuduLabs, the box doesn't know better yet. But with normal content, this should not happen.

                          Actually, there's one glitch:

                          If you use HDMI for audio, you'll get no audio in regular movies after playing around a bunch in Vudu Labs. Other outputs work fine though. The box will need a reboot.

                          Vudu knows about this and I'm sure it will get fixed sometime in early 2009...
