New to VUDU have a question about Disney Digital Copies.?

Do you no longer get a choice between vudu or I-tunes when you redeem a digital code? When I click on watch this movie now at Disney Movie Rewards it only gives me an I-tunes option, am I missing something? I thought you were given a choice.

You can definitely choose Vudu when redeeming a Digital Copy Plus title. I just did it yesterday. It's probably just that the view link is only wired to one service. To be honest, though, I'm not sure how to reach the link you're talking about.

I redeemed one yesterday on their site and then used the code on Vudu's site again. I didn't see the option of Vudu redemption on the actual Disney redemption page, though.

I tried to redeem a code on Vudu but it didn't work.
I had to go to Disney's site and redeem it there and it I can't get it to work with Vudu at all.

What movie is having the issue?
It is only newer movies and some of the newer re-releases that come with a VUDU option.

Also with the new Disney Anywhere if you have Itunes linked to your DMR account I believe it auto claims the Itunes portion leaving the code used unable to claim VUDU (Not certain this is the case as I refuse to use Itunes).

so before claiming the Points go to
Vudu redeem site type in name of movie and claim their first
          http://www.vudu.com/ecopy.html
or go to Disney Plus to claim movie first

I think this is Disney's wonderful way of screwing over the customer and forcing them into using iTunes or their Any where service.

With the new digital copies you actually don't have to redeem on iTunes to get it added to your iTunes account. Once you redeem the movie on your DMA linked Disney Movie Rewards account it will also be added to your iTunes account, without "using" the code. So, you can still use the code for Vudu, Amazon, Target Ticket or Google Play (or whatever the options are for that particular title). So, now there is no need to even use the code for an iTunes redemption. This can also be helpful for families that might not all use the same iTunes account, one person can link DMA with their account while another can redeem the code on iTunes.

*edit.... also all of your previously redeemed codes from digital copy containing movies on DMR are added to your account. As a bonus The Incredibles is also added. If any of your DMR DC codes were from DVDs they are currently being upgraded to HD. If you have any codes that have been redeemed on iTunes, including the Marvel Universe films (except for the Hulk ones) they will be added to a linked DMA account.

I still don't have The Incredibles in iTunes. My ticket to DMA received a response that had nothing to do with my issue, and now they've ignored my reply for two more weeks.

Are your iTunes & DMA accounts linked? In DMA, click on the gear at upper right and choose Account; the Connect Accounts page should come up. Is "iTunes" checked there? If not, check it; it should open iTunes and ask you to link the accounts. That step didn't seem obvious to me, yet it's a critical one.

Also, my buddy couldn't get the process to work in Chrome, he ended up using Firefox and it worked fine.

Yes, I linked them back when I opened the account weeks ago. And removed and relinked. Still nothing.

Thanks, I tried it in Firefox, but that didn't work either. Maybe I'll try it on my Windows7 computer instead of my MacBook.

Here are some tips that may help you or others:

-Are you looking under iTunes Store, then Purchased (under quick links), then movies?

-If you are looking in your library make sure you have the option checked to show movies in the
cloud (preferences-->store-->show iTunes in the Cloud purchases) and also under preferences-->general, make sure you have Movies checked under sources.

-Also may want to make sure your iTunes is the latest version.

-Sign out of Itunes, close and reopen to force a refresh.

-Does iTunes show your account is linked: Click on your sign in name to go to account info, at the end of the first section "Apple ID Summary" There should be a statement saying Disney Movies Anywhere: Your account is connected to your Disney Movies Anywhere account.

                            All,

Please don't forget that Steve Jobs ' Family (Apple) are major owners of Disney stocks after they aquired Pixar from Jobs which is the reason for a preference to itunes.

                              Similar to above poster.

I was looking at my DMA account and compared it to my iTunes and wondered why all the movies weren't coming up in iTunes after adding to DMA. As it was supposed to be crosslinked and titles should go back AND forth.

Anyhow I remembered something similar when iTunes updated to 1080p and I weren't getting any of them in my iTunes. GOGGLE was my friend (again) and told me to goto iTunes store homepage, purchased link, movies tab, titles NOT in iTunes (on computer) and there they all were will iCloud symbols waiting to be downloaded and added to my iTunes. I clicked off all the titles (about 20, been busy adding to DMA lately) and it's still downloading after 24 hours, on a FIOS connection.

                              =)

Titles are there, you just need to know where to look.
