    Newly Added Catalog Titles

Is there anywhere to find out when older catalog titles are added to Vudu? I wish that info was easy to find, because I'd probably buy a lot of them. Maybe we can start a list here.

I just found this listing which must have been added recently. It wasn't available when I searched a few weeks ago.

I find them under "New Releases". Both new titles and old titles that are added to Vudu appear there.

      Re: Newly Added Catalog Titles

My recommendation is to look through the "Most Watched" section. It generally has the newly released old titles. For example, some of the newer titles I have found available to purchase that were not prior are:
      Miss Potter
      Diary of the Dead
      Grace is Gone
      Mrs. Henderson Presents
      Derailed
      The Producers
It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World
      DOA: Dead or Alive
      The Lover
      Rapid Fire
      Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
      The Princess Bride
      Anamatrix
      Unstrung Heroes
also found some on my wish list that are available now, that previously were only for rent:
      A Bridge to Far
      Vicky Christina Barcelona
      Carrie(original)
It seems like The Weinstein Company has started releasing quite a few and are priced very reasonably.

You can check the "New Releases". I check it almost daily because they add new movies almost daily.

Disregard my previous post. The "New Releases" do not contain older titles. I was confusing this with the "New Film Releases" that used to be available. For some unknown reason, Vudu took it away. So there is no way to monitor for all new movies being added to Vudu!

Three times I created a case requesting this storefront to be added back. Twice they added it back, but about two weeks later they removed it again.

Some weeks, it doesn't make sense to have the "New Film Releases" collection. If there are very few titles added, they won't put it on the start page. I believe FelipeF has already passed your request along to our content team to make it permanent.

                    Thanks!

Consider this though...while it might not make sense to you, it makes perfect sense to someone who didn't check the site last week (when perhaps titles were added), but now they want to check a week or so later and the link has been removed.

Always having that available somewhere on the site makes sense if Vudu wants to advertise new titles that have been added. We can't buy if we don't know you have a title.

Again, thanks for trying to get it added back.

Let's keep this thread going to report new library title additions. I wasn't aware of DEATH PROOF, BACK TO SCHOOL, and THE GOOD, THE BAD, & THE UGLY until I saw this thread. I've been looking for them for some time, thanks guys. Now if you see Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Get Shorty, Henry V, Swamp Thing or any other MGM rent-only titles become available for sale, please let me know. Itching to get those.

                        +1

Having a dedicated page listing the latest catalog titles would make it much easier for me to find and buy them.

                          Re: Newly Added Catalog Titles

I just noticed that all the Scary Movie series is available. I don't know if they've always been on Vudu. But I'm pretty sure I've searched for Scary Movie 2 in the past and didn't find it.

I already have Part 5, which came with a UV code. And unfortunately Part 1 is only for rental. But I think I'll grab 2, 3 & 4. They're all under $10.

                              Re: Newly Added Catalog Titles

It seems like it would benefit VUDU if they could list titles that they don't own and the user could put them on a wishlist and be notified when they become available. I would think it would increase sales for VUDU. It would also let them know what titles their users are interested in.

For example for myself. I have a list of movies that I want that are unavailable on VUDU right now. Every so often I check all of the titles on VUDU using the search function. It is time consuming. It occasionally pays off because last week I discovered Back to School and Silence of the Lambs were back on VUDU (they were previously available to own but taken away). Also I found that the Waterboy will be able to purchase on May 8th!
