    Monthly $5 / $7.88 Sale Misleading

I love the monthly sale but I think it might be a bit misleading or confusing to some, while possibly causing loss of sales to Vudu.

    Offer is listed as such:
$5.00 SD Titles, starting at $5
$7.88 HDX Titles, staring from $7.88

    Here's the problem:
As an example there is a $5.00 title (Spice World) that is $5.00 for SD, HD, or HDX. It doesn't appear in the HDX Monthly Sale list since it's $5.00 for any version, but for someone thats only concerned about HDX titles they might not look in the $5.00 list since it's worded as "SD Titles"

Given how some of the titles are prices the "$5.00 SD Titles, starting at $5" and "$7.88 HDX Titles, starting from $7.88" don't really fit what's being offered.

If there's going to be two lists it should be:

"SD Titles Starting from $5" and "HDX Titles Starting from $5.00" which is actually correct, but might vary from month to month.

    OR:

"Sale Titles Starting from $5" and "Sale Titles Starting from $7.88" which is also actually correct, and avoids the whole issue of if the first option applies to the titles on sale that month or not.

It could be that the few, three maybe, titles that are HDX for $5 shouldn't be.

I for one would not like it if the banner said "SD Titles Starting from $5" or "HDX Titles Starting from $5.00"

That would mean I would have to click each one to see which ones were XX amount. Also, if it was like that, what would be the max amount?

A similar situation, I wouln't want to dig through a Wal-Mart bin of blu's that said "Starting from $7.88".

Good Catch... I normally never looked in the SD 5$ section, but looked this time, and they had Radio HDX for 5$, so i piked that up.

I'd also like to see weekly or Bi-weekly sales. Looking at the same titles for 30 days, seems like a long time.

I'd like to see them more often as well. But I also understand that getting these through Studios might be on contractual pain and I also appreciate not missing something because I was too busy that week.

Possible but I see it each month. I just haven't bothered to bring it up before. In either case the titles are still off since there is also SD, HD & HDX. Where the titles say only SD and HDX. In either case I think the phrasing should be cleaned up regardless if it's a Vudu process mistake, or intentional pricing.

Proof that people will complain about anything... I really think this thread is a waste of space and time.

Thread was not created to complain. As initially mentioned it was meant to bring to attention that some people may be missing out on some sale items and thus Vudu may also be missing out of those sales all due to the way the sales items are split and labeled. As two posters mentioned they found things they would have otherwise missed due to this threading bringing it to their attention. I doubt they consider it a waste of space.

I agree! Thanks for pointing this out. However, I still am not planning on buying Spice Girls in HDX or any other format.

Well YEAH, I just used it as the first example I found. There have been a few (other more notable titles) each month.

Yup. For example, some people will complain about posts that complain, even if those posts aren't complaining about anything. Pointing out that Vudu could be doing something a little better for the sake of bettering the service is not a "complaint".
