    Question about Avengers.

I noticed you guys sell a digital copy of Avengers on Vudu

    http://www.vudu.com/movies/#!overvie...s-The-Avengers

My preference of digital is UV I heard things about Disney not being available on UV alot of the articles were from months or years ago.

Basically I'm wondering with that link if I buy Avengers on video what digital service would I get?

Not against using other digital providers but if I could find it cheaper and there's no difference would go with the cheaper one, but if this is a UV version of The Avengers the few extra bucks might be worth it. There is no UV stamp on it so just a bit confused is all.

    Re: Question about Avengers.

You basically answered your own question. You know that Disney doesn't support UV and other providers don't have The Avengers as UV enabled, so why would you think that VUDU would have it available as UV enabled?

      Re: Question about Avengers.

To be a bit more specific for this newbie: Since Disney doesn't do UV and as of yet hasn't allowed Vudu to join Disney Movies Anywhere (DMA), if you buy The Avengers on Vudu today you can stream or download it ONLY from Vudu's own website & apps, not other providers (UV, DMA, or otherwise).

At present, that's true of every EST retailer except iTunes, where if you're also a DMA member you can stream or download it from the DMA website & app as well as iTunes -- but even then only on PC, Mac & iOS (i.e., same as iTunes). Though some pipe-dreamers here still want Disney to join UV, IMO that won't happen unless DMA is a total flop; you're more likely to see Vudu & other UV retailers join DMA for Disney titles (which should work much like UV). One of those could allow you to watch on other sites with your Vudu purchase, but for now that's just a dream.

        Re: Question about Avengers.

Thanks RB you answered really what I was looking for. VuDu is my preferred choice since every other UV retailer leaves a few of my movies as unplayable. That was my question I didn't word it properly it was more could I play it on VuDu not necessarily UV. As long as if I buy it through VuDu I get it on VuDu I'm all good. I rarely watch my stuff on other retailers since some of my movies don't play. But you answered what I wanted. As long as I buy it through VuDu I get to watch it on VudU and I'm fine with that.

          Re: Question about Avengers.

The other thought would be to:

          buy it on Blu-Ray
          Redeem on Disney
          Select Vudu as provider
It also adds to DMA (Disney Movies Anywhere)
          DMA Cross links with iTunes

You end up with the movie watchable on Vudu, iTunes (AppleTV, iPhone, iPad) as well as DMA (AppleTV, iPhone, iPad, Roku and others coming soon).

It doesn't add to UV but it does give it to you in three different services.

The Avengers was released before Disney started supporting VUDU and only has a iTunes digital copy.
