"An item has been deleted from your UltraViolet Library"

Just got an e-mail saying this:

"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 (Extended Edition) has been deleted from your UltraViolet Library by [ME]. Please note that this doesn?t delete any downloads. If you or other users of your Library have downloaded it, you may wish to delete the downloaded copies as well.
If you believe this change was unauthorized, please check with[ME] then contact customer service if you need to restore it."

    Anybody else get the same?

Strange, I didn't ask Vudu or Ultraviolet to remove it. I just thought everybody universally got this e-mail today to be honest.

Good to know we get an alert when a movie is deleted, I've never tried to delete anything, but this is a different situation. Good to know for Vudu sharing in case family tries to delete something.

Yes, I received the exact same email for the same movie. The movie was actually still in my account. I contacted UVVU customer support and I got a response very quickly:

"We have been notified of false messages being sent to our customers. We do apologize for this. We are investigating the issue. To date, we have not had any effected accounts."

They asked for a copy of the email and wanted to know if it was a recent addition to my account.

I got the same email, but guess what the movie was actually deleted from my vudu account, I called customer support and they told me that the movie is no longer UV compatible, and now I cannot watch it anywhere, I redeemed it on VUDU way back in 2013 and even UVVU links the movie back to vudu, which I cannot watch on any cloud device... anyone else having same issue?

I got it also. The movie is still in my UV account and Vudu account. I sent UV an email last night and they have replied with the following:

Thank you for contacting UltraViolet Customer Support.

We have been notified of false messages being sent to our customers. We do apologize for this. We are investigating the issue. To date, we have not had any effected accounts.
Could you please verify that the movie in question is in your library?
Have you added the movie title in question?
Could you provide a copy of the email you received?

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this process.
My concern is this...if they didn't send the email to my email address then how did someone get our email addresses?

I received the same message. The movie is still in both my VUDU and UVVU accounts. However, I did notice that it is no longer UV on VUDU. Not sure when that happened or if that might have triggered the messages.

Mods please look in too this.

The title is not showing UV now. It should be. It is on UVVU.

Could this simply be that the status has changed and the Extended Edition is no longer UV for any new purchase of that title? Could it be that the UV logo simply applies to new purchases and doesn't reflect the rights of anyone who actually owns it with UV rights? ...similar to when a movie disappears from Vudu and you cannot find it doing a search, even though you own it.

It's not on my Vudu library either but it is on CinemaNow and that's where I purchased it. It must be another U/V bungle?

I just got this message too. It still shows up in my Vudu account and I can watch it. The UV logo is gone. I guess the studio decided this version could no longer be UV? It kind of scares me that something that was UV would stop being UV. I don't own the theatrical version, but I noticed it doesn't show up as UV either. That is very strange that 'Part 1' (both theatrical and extended) is the only film in the series that isn't UV. All of the other films in the series are UV and eligible for D2D.

I own the movie and it is not showing UV for me on Vudu and it does not show up in my cinemanow account or Targetticket account.

It should show up on whatever vendor account it was purchased from. In my case, I purchased it on CinemaNow so it still shows up there. If you purchased it from Vudu then it should still show up there.
