And here I thought I was the only one having a confusing and rough end to this week.

Not that my opinion matters here but I don't understand - it seems like 1+2=3 and then he wanted to return items 1 & 2 and so he got a credit for them combined and now he wants more? Very confused...

So you thought you were paying $149 and would get $50 in credits, which appears to be exactly what happened. Exactly why is it bothersome that they broke it down into 2 charges? After all, that's for their own internal accounting and it doesn't affect what you pay at all. If they broke it down into 149 charges of $1 each you are still paying the same thing. Confusing, perhaps, but it certainly shouldn't be bothersome in any way once it is explained.

              Re: FED UP!!!!!

I was wrong in my comments but it was a theory based on the information you posted. But I think JohnA has stated it all.

You got a $300 box with $50 worth of credits for $150. Look at it that way. I'm not sure what else there is then.

                Re: FED UP!!!!!

Jamsys I think I understand the confusion, let me see if I can explain this better... the box cost $99, which you paid. The $50 in credit is not is free either, but I understand you probably thought you were paying $149 AND getting a FREE $50 dollar credit for buying the box on top of the $149 your paying, so you would only be paying $149, and VUDU would front the other $50, which you thought was misleading. Which in reality comes out the same, as your getting a box for $99 and $50 in credits. Anyways...you paid that in the form of 127.65 + 21.35 for a total of $149, which you is agree is fine now. Now you have $99 box and $50 in movie credits, of which you just pre-paid for the credit, as expected.

Now the confusing part, when you first setup a box they ALWAYS charge your CC, at least $20 to make sure you have a valid CC, and to fund your account, which explains the first $20. For some reason they disregard if you have credit, so if you had the BB promotion and setup a box they would still charge you an extra $20 to your CC, which is still YOURS, it is not money they are keeping, just extra credit for you to use.

OK back to the confusion... Now when you opened your account the first time, they charge you $20, but then you return the best buy box and my guess is they refunded that original $20, which would explain the first charge. Now when you setup the box again, they charge you $20 again, as if you never had never setup a box before, which is normal VUDU practice, which explains the 2nd VUDU charge. Then you ask Jimmy to return your $20 from the 2nd box setup charge, and you now have $50 in credit, as you should.

However, since I don't have access to see what JohnA see's or your account, this is all speculation on my part.

                      Ok,

It has all been worked out with Mike B @ vudu. We had a great tele conversation, and he understood the problem and confusion 100%.

Jimmy did a great job, but it needed to be handled in person. The BIG problem was that the $$ that was supposed to be refunded to my CC from the balance of the BestBuy box never showed up on-line. Mike is looking into the issue. If I would have known that, none of this would ever have happened, as Vudu DID own me x $'s for that, and that is what I thought went into vapor land.

Mike said that this $99 promotion was sooo confusing they did pull it from the website.

So thank you to Mike, Jimmy and all the others who tried in ernest to help out on this. And to the others, please dont judge or accuse before you know the situation...

I'm glad you got it worked out. I mentioned originally that I thought you would. As for people commenting, please understand that when you post in a forum like this it is an open invitation for people to respond and they can only comment based on the information that you give and will fill in any gaps with what they believe to be most likely. That's just the nature of the beast. Moving forward, I hope you give the forum a chance because there is a lot of useful information to be had here.

I stated this in a PM but I'll state it publicly too: I was wrong about the actions of jamsys and should not have jumped to the conclusions I did.

That said, when posting a post with a title like "FED UP!!!!" where everything is in caps is going to invite strong responses.
