My warning is to anyone that has a Mirror Vudu account attached to their walmart.com account be very carefull about asking vudu to merge it with your regular vudu account. it took them 2 days to fix my account after they did.
A mirror account? What does this mean?

I placed the order Tuesday and woke up to a shipping notification this morning.

If the discs arrive before the vudu version, it'll readlly take the 'insta' out of 'instawatch'

From what I understand there is a 24 hour window after you receive a shipment email. So hopefully you will get one tonight. Good luck buddy.

For Walmart.com orders, the Instawatch email should trigger with the shipment. It still can take up to 24 hours to have the movies added after you receive the shipment email.

In-Store purchases will be added as soon as you scan the receipt and complete the process.

It's been 3 days since mine shipped and no email. Looks like I may have return and rebuy? Everything was eligible for instawatch. It just never triggered I guess. Who should I contact about this? Vudu or Walmart. I put a support request in with Walmart yesterday morning but haven't heard back yet.

I opened a ticket on this yesterday and now they are replying and saying I won't get the instawatch e-mail until 24 hours after the PICKUP date (oct 30).

That's not always true because I ordered mine (Contraband) and I haven't picked it up and it's showing up on my Vudu account.

It wasn't a receipt but an online order that shipped on Monday but I pm'd the order#. Funny thing is I just reordered one of the movies for store pickup to see if that would work better (The Faculty) and it came through immediately (3 times actually). Same with Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. I'll just return the copies that come in the mail since they'll be duplicates now.

Vudu and Walmart are looking at this the wrong way. What they should do is sell you the digital copy but then ship the physical copy for free. This way the customer gets the digital copy immediately while Vudu/WM eliminates the risk of a customer returning the physical copy for a refund after getting the digital copy.

It's been stated on other websites that if you return the disc they remove the copy from your library. Someone tested it out.

Well, for what ever reason instawatch isn't instant with the current implemenation. Why not allow the customer to buy the digital copy from Vudu but then have Walmart ship the physical copy? This would guarantee that the customer would get a digital copy instantly to watch.

                                Re: Vudu Insta Watch

I decided to try the in-store insta watch seeing as most people have been saying that it works better than the YB.com order. The movies I wanted were not all in stock at the first Walmart I went to, so I had to make two purchases at two Walmarts and scanned two receipts.

I visited the two Walmarts about a half hour apart, and scanned each receipt about a half hour apart. The purchase from store # 1 was added to by Vudu library 90 minutes after the receipt was scanned. The second purchase, which was scanned only a half hour later, has still not been added to by library. It's been about 12 hours on that one. So we'll see!
