Maybe Tesco going UV was enough for them to throw in the towel. That is the second largest retailer in the world operating a UV store front.

Maybe this is a sign that Disney Movies Anywhere will be coming to Vudu? If you notice there are a few vaulted titles that have a redemption page (Lady & the Tramp for example).

I really, really hope that they are going to add Vudu to Disney Movies Anywhere at the very least. It would be awesome if they would transfer the DMA movies we own to Vudu. I have most of the Pixar and Marvel titles on DMA and I would love to have them on Vudu where I'd actually watch them. It would be even better if Disney would just go ahead and join UV and let us move forward into the future.

Someone on another forum said they contacted a CS rep at Disney Movies Anywhere and was told that Vudu would be an option soon or something like that.

Edit: Just found the post. He said the rep told him Google+ and Vudu by the end of the year.

I have 18 Disney movies on their Disney anywhere app would be ex static if they allowed a straight over conversion but I highly doubt it as Disney is the greediest company on the planet. Would also be great if the joined disc to digital also but again that greed thing.

I would be willing to tote my Disney DVD collection into my local Disney store to get D2D on them. Just not for an iTunes only copy.

They have to expand soon. Most people do not have iOS devices so iTunes only just doesn't make business sense. Adding Vudu to DMA would be helpful, but really, the end game is DECE membership. I want to be able to share my library with friends too and that only comes with UV. Since Vudu integrated this feature, I am full with five household linked to my library and enjoy the sharing experience when adding titles. I want to do the same with Disney / Marvel titles when the time comes.

I think you are talking about DMA movies showing up in Vudu, when and if they join.
According to DMA's terms it will happen.

                    4. DIGITAL DISTRIBUTORS

                    (a) Connecting. Currently, Apple iTunes is a "Digital Distributor" of the DMA Service. Additional Digital Distributors may become available and Digital Distributors may become unavailable at any time, with or without notice. The total number of Digital Distributors may vary at any given time. If you have an account with a Digital Distributor, you may connect your DMA account with each of your Digital Distributor accounts.
                    (c) Entitlement Sharing. Entitlement Sharing is the sharing of your Entitlements on your behalf between DMA and each connected Digital Distributor. In this way, all DMA-eligible movies in your DMA locker will also appear in each of your connected Digital Distributor?s lockers. Additionally, all DMA-eligible movies in your connected Digital Distributor?s lockers will appear in your DMA locker and each of your other connected Digital Distributor?s lockers. This will allow you to independently view such movies through the DMA Service and each Digital Distributor?s service.

That is almost certain because at least three titles IN the proverbial Disney Vault (Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King & Lady and the Tramp) are showing up on Vudu's redemption page right now. If what happened with iTunes in DMA's initial launch is any guide, those of us with Vault titles in our DMA libraries should get them in Vudu as soon as we can link Vudu to DMA.

There's other signs, from technical sightings in both DMA & Vudu to both Disney & Vudu CSRs saying it'll happen by year's end. Many of these say Google Play will also join DMA with Vudu; personally I wouldn't be surprised if Target Ticket and perhaps even Amazon join them (edit: either simultaneously or shortly thereafter).

At this point, it's probably more a matter of "when" than "if". I expect it to happen either next Tuesday with Maleficent and Planes: Fire & Rescue, or more likely on the 18th with Frozen Sing Along Edition (HD version exclusive to digital) and the digital-exclusive window of Guardians of the Galaxy. I wouldn't be surprised if Disney saturates the airwaves on Thanksgiving with commercials telling folks to avoid the lines -- or at least offset the tryptophan -- by buying Frozen SAE in HD & GotG only on digital at your favorite DMA retailer.

                        .

I hope you're right. it would be very nice to get my Avengers, Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man 2 on Vudu along with all my other Marvel movies. It would make the original Iron man the lone film I don't have on Vudu.

I'm not such a huge fan of Marvel, but I do have 10 pixar movies on DMA that I don't have on vudu yet, plus a few animated classics that I would love to be able to watch on my TV that I can only watch on my iPad now.

If I have the media, how do I get the title added into DMA so it can propagate into Vudu when the time comes?

...Also, if I have DMA titles in my Vudu library, when I link will the titles propagate into DMA from Vudu?

I believe there are codes in the blu-ray/dvd. I think they are the same codes used for Disney Movie Reward points.

I haven't done it but I think you link accounts or something.
