    Re: Walmart.com and Instawatch

The Walmart Instawatch program has been highly problematic since inception. Having made over 100 purchases I'm well aware of it's issues.

I purchased though the physical + digital program instead. It has it's own issues but is much better then Instawatch.

That's a new one. Also you usually cant but D+D on Vudu until it's available to watch. Which it's not.

I hoped right onto Vudu.com and there it was. I went to order it but it was $29.99 which is obserdly high for Blu-Ray. Even Walmart.com has it for 24.99 including "Vudu Digital Copy", not InstaWatch. I don't know if WM/Vudu is rebranding IW or it's just something to do with WB.

Needless to say I didn't buy its since it's priced as high as a UHD.

I agree that the 29.99 price is ridiculous. It will no doubt drop in price as street date gets closer. I sure hope it's instawatch on Walmart's website. At least in ordering through Walmart, they will adjust the price if it drops. I don't know that Vudu will do that.

My experience is that Vudu doesn't. The two times I called they did it once as one time courtesy credit but not the next. According the supervisor they escalated it to the Vudu system doesn't do price tracking so they have no idea what the price was at any particular time. Only what you paid as shown in user balances at what they see as current price on website.

Lego Batman disc + digital is $29.96 because you are getting the Walmart exclusive version. This is according to VUDU's facebook page. They should do a better job of mentioning it on VUDU's website. They previously did this with the last Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movie but they explained that one on VUDU's website.

But if you re-read my post. Walmart.Com is offering the Blu-Ray+DVD+Digital HD PLUS Vudu Digital Copy for $24.99.

You're getting the same thing from either. Vudu is $5.00 more.

                    Got ya.

I'd rather have the other one without more nik-nak's but with the Vudu copy for $5 less.

Me too but I figure the $5 extra is basically an early access fee which for this movie is worth it to me and the lunchbox is just a bonus that my 5 year old will be able to use next year.

So far no email from Walmart regarding Logan being available via Instawatch. I don't think it is Instawatch. Just that others posted about it so I tested it to see. Everything says digital HD copy, which will be UV redemption thing, not Instawatch.
