Android and iPad NOW limited to SD?? This SUCKS

I was so excited about the Android player on my Note 3 because it correctly determined it was playing on a 1080p screen (it actually is an Ulta HD screen. This is why I signed up for the service and was so excited.
But that was then, NOW the player is lobotomized to playing a horrifically BAD experience on the highest definition screens to me the user.
SHAME ON YOU. This is ripping me off. I paid for content in HDX, and by heavens I should be able to download and play my paid for content on any HDX screen I have. I dare say this is unethical business practice, and if it doesn't change soon, I will be posting on Facebook, Twitter, the BBB, and the FCC, not to mention our states Attorney General who I know personally.

The last I checked, the Vudu app for Android was always limited to SD. I've had a Nook HD for over a year; the only ways to play HD movies on it are Nook's own UV service, Flixster, and Google Play. It's an industry-wide issue; not all HD tablets have sufficient video security measures to meet studio standards (i.e., HDCP).

I have been able to download HDX quality to this very phone ( Samsung Note 3 ) and play them previously, just as I said in the post. It would allow me to choose which definition I desired. And on this screen it was incredible. Now, junk. It is the only reason I signed up.
We are not talking about viewing it on a second screen, just the main device screen.

I have the Note 3, what software are you viewing your movies through? Google Play, DMA, or something else? I'll let you know what my resolution is.

You could NEVER play or download HDX (or even HD) from a tablet/smart phone with the Vudu app. There never was an HDX option, only SD.

Android devices have never been able to download in HD or HDX. Currently, mobile devices are limited to SD.

The Common File Format cannot come soon enough and will alliviate this problem. It is scheduled for launch this year. I know, I know, the year is almost over. I am very excited for what may happen at next years CES. Amazon UV perhaps?
