Talking about Only The Brave UHD I purchased it off of itunes and one day later Vudu makes it available in 4k but, I can't watch it in 4k on Vudu its only in HDX. This is a MA title why is the UHD version I paid for not unlocked on Vudu as well?

Hopefully that movie will eventually be available on Ultraviolet. Fandangonow has it as an Ultraviolet movie but VUDU only has it as Movies Anywhere right now

Many of the titles listed in this forum will be available soon.
We know getting 4K available on the same date as release for digital or disc is extremely important. Unfortunately, many times things can go wrong from the technology, process, quality control or studio approval, or other standpoints that delay release. Unfortunately, more than you'd expect, we have no control over those factors.

Thank you all, though, for staying with Vudu, on top of things, and sharing your frustrations. Your feedback is noticed and does help us keep us (and our partners) focused.
This is good to see, but from a consumer point of view it's kind of confusing when many or all these titles are on simultaneously on iTunes, FandangoNow, and Google Play instantly upon release and Vudu doesn't have them. Certainly hope to see the situation get better soon.

Thank you for the update Jeffrey. People have to realize that this is not as simple as flipping a switch. Because if it was, Vudu would have certainly done it!. It is in Vudu's best interest to provide the best quality video and sound to it's customers.

Awesome, glad to see it available on the week of release. This is the type of thing I like to see Vudu.

Thank you for posting, can Vudu please also look into adding UHD TV content? FandangoNow has done it with a few releases, but it would be nice to have Westworld in UHD, since it was released on 4K disc with 4K digital rights. Planet Earth 2 has also been released on Amazon and Netflix in 4K.

I suspect that Apple is losing money to build market share for Apple TV. That competitive pressure will eventually cause the other service providers to match Apple.

Almost a year and a half after the 4K movie originally released.... I guess that means we'll see Only the Brave by mid 2019.

EDIT: Vudu, y'all are too much. Adding it after I said it was coming in 2019.

Couldn't agree more! iTunes is now my go-to retailer with UHD. It's not even so much the "free" upgrades at iTunes....but it seems that almost every new release that comes to iTunes is in 4K HDR. Along with the frequent back catalog additions......iTunes is killing it on 4K and Vudu is sadly being left behind.
