    Sony Pictures SD-only movies

Is anyone else surprised at how many Sony Pictures catalogue movies are still only available to purchase in SD? Many of the Sony Pictures movies in my Wishlist have been there for close to two years. I've emailed customer service at Sony a couple of times, but I don't ever get a response or see any changes. Since I'm losing hope that they will ever be upgraded to HDX, I'm curious if anyone has purchased the SD version of any of the following movies and found them to be satisfactory or not.

    Absence of Malice
    And Justice for All
    Family Business
    Five Easy Pieces
    The Freshman (1990)
    Gods Must be Crazy
    Gods Must be Crazy II
    Ice Castles
    Modern Romance
    Prince of Tides
    Red Rock West
    To Sir, With Love
When Did You Last See Your Father?

Yes, I do own the Karate Kid. It is one of very few SD-only movies I own. I, like many others, want the HDX versions only! Now if there was a way to upgrade from SD, then I may be willing to invest in some SD movies now. Are you reading this Vudu management?!

        Re: Sony Pictures SD-only movies

Hero is HDX. I got it via a DVD->HDX D2D transaction.

House of Flying Daggers is SD only though. I wish it were HDX available.

Curse of the Golden Flower is magnificent in HDX. It too, I got via a DVD->HDX upgrade.

There is hope though. Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events was at first only SD via D2D. Now it is HDX too.

I check back every so often.

The Hero movie I'm talking about is the 1992 one with Dustin Hoffman. Anyway, I'm hoping that CFF will motivate the studios to provide HD encodes of these older movies. I wonder if CFF will actually arrive before the end of the year? It will probably be delayed yet again.
