    Thor Bundle Pricing Question

The pricing on your Thor 3 movie bundle is ambiguous. Is it $33.99 to own Thor in HDX, Thor Dark World in SD, and THor Ragnarok in 4K UHD? Then there's the pull down tab that says SD Mar 6 and HDX $45.99. WTF? Something's not right here. Who in their right mind would get an SD movie bundled with 4K UHD? Please clear this up.

The bundle doesn't include UHD, you're looking at the tab above Thor Ragnarok that says it's available in UHD. The bundle is available to pre-order in HDX, and purchase in SD come March 6th. Vudu does not offer the option to buy a bundle that includes different resolutions, so you can choose between SD and HDX since those are the resolutions all three films are available in. If you want Thor: Ragnarok in 4K, you will need to buy the movie separately from the bundle.

Really? I was ready to pull the trigger too. Not at my TV now to confirm, but I'd swear the Guardians of the Galaxy bundle I bought was a UHD and HDX mix. Pretty sure the same for the Harry Potter bundle. I figured it was just that the older content could not be converted to 4K UHD.

The Harry Potter Bundle is available for purchase in UHD because all of the movies are available for purchase in 4K. Guardians of the Galaxy bundle would be HDX or SD only, since the first film is only HDX currently. Any content can technically be sold as 4K, whether it be upconverted or sourced from an actual 4K or higher master, but as of right now the studios have released very little content in 4K for purchase on Vudu. So if you're buying a bundle, it will only include content of the same quality, likely to avoid confusion of what quality you are actually getting from each movie or season.

I accessed vudu on my UHD tv and damn it you're right. Guess my mind tricked me into seeing what I wanted to see with the UHD features being displayed on the title screen. That ****es me off, I never would have bought these bundles if the UHD versions weren't included. Then vudu has the nerve to charge full price to get the UHD version. Didn't apple tv upgrade all their customer content to UHD if available?

I purchased the bundle yesterday solely because it appeared to be advertised that the UHD copy of Thor: Ragnarok was included. I have an email in to Vudu support now to address the issue why they all redeemed in HDX.

Here's a screenshot of what i was shown when i purchased the bundle, it clearly says UHD copy in the Bundle Contents.

Read VuduAddict's post #2 on this thread. It explains why you didn't get Thor: Ragnarok in UHD. In short, the bundle is not available in UHD, you purchased the bundle in HDX. It even says YOU OWN HDX on the screenshot.

So where it lists Bundle Contents then does not actually mean contents of the bundle lol? Bait & Switch much?

You're paying for the resolution you choose. You chose to buy the "HDX" resolution bundle, which provides you HDX rights for all the bundled content. When purchasing content, it doesn't just have a price, you actually click on the resolution you want. So you can't say it's bait and switch when you chose HDX for the bundle.

It's somewhat misleading but it not bait and switch. Those little banner tags above the title art means something is available. For example Thor 1 shows SALE but Thor 2 shows nothing and Thor 3 says UHD.

End result is that you always have to select something like BUY HDX. Which means ALL the copies will be HDX. It's not going to say BUY HDX and then you get two HDX and one UHD.

Jeff you're right. I did the same thing, and I remember there being two prices. One price at 33.99 unlocks everything at HDX. The other price was 45.99 for the UHD version of Ragnarok.

The option is no longer available, however it was, and I paid for it too, and I'm seriously mad about this.

How likely is it that the Thor bundle will be available again?
