Can you tell me your receiver model as well.

I casted from the Chrome Browser to a Chromecast Ultra and was able to get all the expected audio formats when connected to a receiver. I will check the casting to a Vizio TV.

    Thanks,
    Tam
It's working now and I'm getting Atmos on the "Only the Brave" title. The only difference was I connected directly to Denon X6400H rather than on the Vizio.

I was casting Thor Ragnarok, Spiderman homecoming, Pacific Rim, Ender's Game, The Hunstman Winter's War, and San Andreas.

UPDATE: I have updated my browser and it still crashes after about 30 seconds. When it goes over 30 sec. and i raise the volume, it crashes. Not sure if it is because i have the sound set through HDMI arc, but the volume #'s seems to crash the whole stream.

On a related note, Vizio has almost completed rollout of their latest firmware that fixes Dolby Vision "Profile 5" support, so we will be enabling direct playback of DV P5 on those TVs on Monday.

Unfortunately in that update they also disabled Dolby Vision Profile 4 support. We are replacing our DV4 streams with DV5, but it will be a while until they are all complete.

              Hello Johnboy,

Casting to the SOny TV I can not get any HDR output. I have changed the settings in the settings menu and can not get HDR. When I connect a Chromecast to it I can get HDR when changing the the HDMI input to support HDR. I think this maybe a Sony/Google bug detecting the capabilities of the TV. I will forward the bug to Sony to investigate and see what they suggest.

              Thanks,
              Tam

                Hello Sgperez90
I am still not able to reproduce the disconnect that you are observing. To clarify you see the casting stop entirely (back to the Chromecast Slide SHow)? Do you see the same issue with HDX quality or SD quality?
                Thanks,
                Tam

Did this go into action today? I did check one title Thor Ragnarok and it played back in HDR10.

                    Hello CrucialQ,

DV5 on VizioCast TVs is scheduled for Tuesday 04/03/18 enablement. You should be able to play DV5 with the Vudu App on the VizioCast TV.

I am casting to the built in chromecast on my Sony xbr55x900e tv and the stream stops on an error message which says "PLAYBACK ERROR Sorry, the video player has stopped working. Please try again." Anytime I press any button on my control this error pops up on UHD movies. With HDX, my tv is non responsive to my control and it takes several seconds for the TV to respond to volume up & down. I also keep getting logged out of my account on the chrome browser when casting.

I watched all of "Only the Brave" last night casting from Windows 10 to my Chromecast Ultra getting DV & Atmos with no buffering or no other issues. It was great to finally be able to do this after many months.

Still can't Cast these UHD titles to Shield TV.

About a month ago it worked (for about 1/2 a day) and I posted here "Great - It's Working!" and the thread was deleted, and I've heard nothing since.

So between this not working and the Vudu app on the Shield TV being broken with dark video, I haven't spent a dime on Vudu in quite a while.

I have, however, because of this, bought an Apple TV so I can check out iTunes (never bought anything from apple before), and have watched a few movies that way.

Seems as if Vudu isn't an option for our household.

No fixes, no answers... Been a customer for a long time.
