Haven't had the buffering issue myself (thankfully) - are you using wireless on the Shield?

Haven't seen the issue via ethernet on either of my 2 Shield units. Just watched a movie last night w/ the new app version - no issues.

How can you tell it's a new app version? I heard Jake at Vudu say we would have a new device on our list but my devices didn't change.

EDIT: Never mind, I found a new device after posting this. What happens to people that already have 8 devices before the update?

      111 UHD
      848 HDX
      3 SD

Does not happen on any other app--it is the app associated with the shield that is the problem and it still persists. I cannot even watch in SD without buffering...still. This is not an issue due to my speeds. I have already covered this with Vudu....there are several posts of the buffering problems with the shield app and vudu.
Same issue still happening with me as well. Along with the app crashing upon opening 50% of the time. We really need the buffering issue to end. I also still cannot play Downsizing in UHD on the shield. Works on all other platforms.

You'll need to deactivate the old device first if you are already at the limit.

We have a fix and are looking to test and release as soon as possible.

That's great! Hopefully sooner rather than later.

I am still getting buffering issues but only on select titles... Watching an episode of Atlanta Season 2, it buffers 3 separate times. Watching Guardians of the Galaxy 2 in UHD, no buffering at all...

Vudu needs to fix this. It is obviously a problem with their new interface that came out in January of this year. I had no problems before this. I have read that other streamers than the Nvidia Shield are having similar issues since the Vudu update of the "new look" earlier this year. I hooked up to the same 4K Sony TV and the same 4K Denon receiver, with the same cables and the same router, a Roku 3 I wasn't using, which still has the old "look" on Vudu-. Absolutely no problems with several movies viewed. No buffering- super quick response time-Picture looks terrific in HDX.
I kept it hooked up and now use the Roku 3 to watch Vudu only and the Nvidia Shield for everything else when streaming. Ridiculous, but since I have all my movies now digitally on Vudu--it is either my Roku 3 or buffer city.

I agree. No issues at all until the new interface.
