Last Jedi to redeem as UHD ?

I was kind of surprised when Thor: Ragnarok redeemed as UHD from the disc slip. Disney historically doesn't provide UHD digital redemption with UHD disc purchase. Likewise Movies Anyway faq states it doesn't support UHD.

Regarding Last Jedi is it going to redeem as UHD from the UHD disc? I checked the docs.google 4k redeem file and if I read it correctly MA is stated as Yes, UHD, which doesn't seem right?

Been holding out on the early release digital UHD purchase in case the physical UHD also redeems as digital UHD.

    Comments ?

MA doesn't support UHD playback, but it does support UHD rights linking for movies and retailers that offer it. In regards to Last Jedi redemption can't say myself since I bought Last Jedi from Vudu in UHD and did get UHD rights on MA as well as Fandango now.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Coco digital copies from 4K sets redeemed as UHD. I redeemed those ones myself.

I also heard the latest Pirates movie redeemed as UHD. The only one I heard people had problems with was Cars 3.

I can't see any reason why The Last Jedi wouldn't also give us the UHD version.

Disney UHD redemption has been inconsistent in the past, but starting with Coco codes from 4K Blu-rays will redeem in UHD. So The Last Jedi will redeem in UHD on MA and Vudu. Anything before Coco is likely not going to redeem in UHD.

The two movies you mentioned were redeeming in UHD up until November of 2017 when MA took over for DMA. After MA Disney movies stopped redeeming UHD until Coco. I was lucky enough to redeem GOTG2 before the cutoff.

Last Jedi 4k UHD codes from the physical product SHOULD Redeem as 4k at Vudu and Movies Anywhere. They currently are right now. But that does not mean that they will forever (like with Guardians 2). BUT it appears that starting with CCOO, then Thor 3, and now Last Jedi, Disney is pairing their UHD physical product with UHD codes. But I would only recommend redeeming on Vudu or Movies Anywhere. Google Redeems are for HD only confirmed.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 did initially redeem as HDX for me if I recall, and then later Disney fixed the issue and most people had theirs upgraded with no problems. I would try contacting Disney and see if they can fix yours.

I missed the cutoff on the ones that did redeem UHD but then stopped.
                      • Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
                      • Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

I'm still sitting on my codes for those and the other Disney codes that never redeemed UHD. (AFAIK)
                      • Cars 3
                      • The Prestige

Now that Disney 4K is redeeming UHD with new codes...
                      • Coco
                      • Thor: Ragnarok
...I'm hoping they'll go back and fix all the ones that don't.

*Can anyone confirm that redeeming these in HD from 4K codes and then filing a ticket with MA to get UHD has actually worked?

I finally heard back from Vudu after 2.5 weeks on my ticket about Cars 3 UHD Blu-Ray Code. They basically told me that they couldn?t do anything for me and to submit through Movies Anywhere, which I did, but it still only redeemed as HD when it ported to Vudu. So I contacted Disney who said the code only gives a HD copy, but when I preessed about Coco and Thor being UHD this is the response I got:
                        7FF5EE49-B116-4F85-B6B8-F1B4A863A3C8.jpeg
So it would probably help if others contacted Disney to voice their opinion about the previous UHD Blu-rays not giving UHD Digital Copies.

Your attachment doesn't show for me. And clicking on the link for it just brings me to a page that gives the error, "Invalid File Specified".

I had the same problem until I logged in and then both worked for me.
