    Folder feature, or something similar, is sorely needed.

      Re: Dear Vudu, my top 10 feature requests

      A couple of features that are missing, have been missing, and are regularly requested:

      1) Hide a film on vudu. Not a delete option, but the ability to make a film invisible inside just your account (not the uv locker). And only on devices that pull from vudu, so you won't see the film or episode on your phone, your console, your roku, etc. You'll still see the film on the vudu website. It's a simple toggle switch. A ton of people have requested this feature for years.

      2) Sub account specific to your Vudu account. Think of it like how Netflix allows profiles on the same account. The ability to pick the specific films that show up in that profile and only those films. When you hand the remote to your children and walk out of the room, it would be nice to know you have them logged into a specific profile that someone can't get around the parental lockouts on. Because only the films you have selected will show in that profile.

      3) Wish List. Fix this thing. It has almost no purpose as its currently designed. The wish list should send out email notices when there is a change in the status of the film you've put on the wish list. Is it on sale and on your wish list? Send out an email, sms, or notice to anyone who has it on their wish list and you will sell a ton of films.

        I really think you nailed the gaps below...
        • Definitely an option to upgrade any SD only movie to HD for a nominal fee.
        • The extras is why I'd almost prefer to buy on iTunes since these are included with most HD purchases.
        • Even the option to get/purchase extras (e.g. Batman TV Series - I hate the fact that the UV code did NOT redeem the several hours worth of extras included with the Blu-ray set)
        • Ability to export my collection into CSV easily within interface (as opposed to thru 3rd party), or provide better dashboard viewing capabilities
        • Un-bundle option of movie sets is a must

        Extras+ Vs. Movies with Bonus Features

        I don't know why certain movies come with Extras while other movies with bonus features don't. Extra features are one of the main reasons many people are sticking with physical media. Bonus features should come with the movie and not cost more. The fact that they have already implemented the Extras+ means that it is even more frustrating to learn that many of our movies that have additional features don't come with those features. It is even more frustrating that the only way to get those features is to buy the bundled version or the disc. Moreover, these features should be easily accessible on all our streaming devices. ITunes has already started bundling extras with many of their movies, so Vudu should make this a priority.

        HD Streaming

        We should have the option to stream HD on our tablet or PC.

        More versatile playback options

        There should be more options such as the ability to choose playback speed or advance frame by frame (similar to Quicktime).

        Upgrade

        We should have the ability to upgrade from SD to HD, as this will give Vudu customers more confidence about adopting this format (especially with 4K on the horizon).

        Select Audio Output

        Netflix allows you to select audio output. For the most part, I use my high end home entertainment system (where I like to get the highest quality audio presentation available), but when I can't view a movie this way, I prefer stereo sound.

          In case you're wrong and someone at VUDU does care a little, I just wanted to chime in and link to the thread I created the other day in the "User Suggestions" forum:
          https://forum.vudu.com/showthread.ph...view-quot-mode

          It's just one suggestion: Adding a "list view" mode.

            I agree with the folders and unbundling movies. While I think that the Die Hard collection I picked up needs to stay together while Conan, Man on a Ledge, Brothers bundle doesn't need to get one listing. Also, disappointed that the Kill Bill two Pack, Lincoln Lawyer/Alex Cross/One for the Money bundle, American Pie 4 pack, and a few other bundles don't have artwork when using instawatch. The Conan/MoaL/Brothers had artwork but not the others what gives?

                I'd settle right now for one simple app feature: a Z-A filter. That would be helpful navigating through large collections.

                  ``````````````````````````````````Parental controls that effect access from any device. So, for example: Id like to place a code only on DeadPool. So anyone wanting to watch that movie would need to enter the code. Also, a code for all R Rated movies, ect..
                  Id also like a filter for language and scenes. Just silence the audio when profanity is in it. No need to replace the word. Skip the rated R scenes, ect..
                  Vid Angel is doing it, why not have Vudu offer it as well. Id pay a one time fee for it.. or small monthly fee.. or a per view fee. TAKE MY MONEY! LOL
                  Getting to My Vudu movies is a one click issue. Keep the store front up front. Let Vudu make some money. Vudu isnt charging us a thing to access our movies. We gotta learn to give back a bit for their service.
                  I like the idea of folders or lists. What about a suggested next movie?
                  Un-Bundling seems like a no brainer...
                  Upgrade movies for a small fee. This is another way for Vudu to make some cash BUT the upgrade may not port over to UVVU as it may be an entire new movie there? Not sure. 4k and 3D make me want this option.
                  Playback speed would be helpful.. On the Playstation I can play my moves at 1.5 speed. I enjoy that option.
                    Man, it's been 17 months since I posted this, and Vudu hasn't done a single one of these things.
                    Is there another place I should submit this? I can understand not agreeing with all of them, but would be nice if you guys were a little more customer obsessed and willing to listen to what people are asking for. A lot of people on this thread have echoed my comments, so there's definitely a demand for a lot of these points....is there any willingness to incorporate any of them?
                      They have made some progress with #2. Now when you open the app, it defaults to My Vudu > Watchlist, so you only have to press the arrow key once to get to your Movies list. It's much better than before.
                      I heard they are also working on getting HD streaming for IOS devices.
                      I really wish they would work on getting some of these other requests implemented. Like getting rid of the HD/HDX split. and Custom bundles, or tags, or even more specific genres. Like animation, faith,
                          If using gift cards was on anyone's wish list, this is now possible. VUDU now accepts Walmart gift cards.
                            A while back I was supposed to do a survey but it didn't happen. So instead of throwing out my ideas in the trash, I'll throw them here in hope that some of the staff will see it.
                            1. Bundle or unbundle movies*- A bundle/unbundle option could be available in the movie page or in the options page
                            2. Bring back "2 minute preview"- I used it to check picture/audio quality
                            3. Hide movies*- unwanted movies/tv shows could be selected and moved to a special category away from one's library. I've seen this done by the video game platform, Steam.
                            4. Add "Not Interested" button to Store or Recommendation section- Let's say I found a movie that I have no interest at all to see. I hit this button and the uninterested movie/show gets knocked to the very back of the list of potentially interesting movies.
                            5. Ditch 5 star rating system- I'll buy a movie/show if I like it. I don't if I dislike it. Netflix is replacing their five star system for a thumb up/down system. That system sounds terrible but whatever works.
                            6. Upgrade SD to HD or HD to UHD for a discounted price*- Self explanatory
                            7. Deduct owned episodes from season purchase price*- When an episode is purchased, the season price usually stays the same. The price should reflect after final purchase and not just for all the episodes.
                            8. Change Cover Art- I'm not sure if this is the studio's decision, but I would like choices for movies/shows cover art.
                            9. Default "My Vudu" as home page*- Whenever I show vudu to my friends and family, they would be puzzled where my movies are
                            10. Folders or shortcuts in "My Vudu" *- A growing library is a growing nuisance.
                            11. Download movies on any device to play with a logged in account*- Vidity was suppposed to be on this but they've been unheard from in over a year.
                            *mentioned before by others
                              I totally agree with the being able to reorder and rename. I'd put all of the Die Hards together. The other thing that would be nice would be an alphabet so I could quickly go to the movies I want such as Ginny to H and then finding my H movies. With 1,800 movies it's getting to be a pain.
