I have Comcast, so my cap is suspended too. I'd really like to download my movies, since we were promised digital downloads. It's bad enough with Netflix where I have no choice but streaming, but needless streaming with Vudu is just crazy. It's bad for Comcast, and can't be cheap for Vudu either.

Most of my watching is on the road, where Internet service can be sketchy. Every week I need to delete my old movies to make space, and download new movies to my iPad. I try to do most of the downloads at the hotel, to limit impact to the caps. I need to remember to leave the Vudu client open every night on my iPad on while the download is running. I turn it upside down, so it doesn't light up the room all night. It's really a pain!

Yes, I'm with you on this. I like access to my collection when traveling w/o having to cart around media. However, I am a bit spooked with talk of losing streaming rights down the road.

I've done this all last year course i just started watching netflix and vudu like around september or october and never had an issue. I just recently started tracking how much bandwidth i am using each month just cause i'm curious.

I have Comcast Teleworker (Business Class) - doesn't have a data cap. In the Nashville area though, Xfinity (Comcast Home) has a 250GB cap they enforce. We were the "test market". Luckily, Google Fiber is coming and AT&T says they will provide fiber service as well. So Comcast will have to get with the program sooner or later.

For films that don't warrant it, you can always manually drop quality down to HD or even SD to preserve bandwidth for when you need it...
