Can't finish one of my movies?! "Network Error" WTF?

For a couple days now I've been trying to resume the movie "About Schmidt." Each time I try, I get:

    Network Error

Unable to stream this movie at the moment due to a network error.

Please try again a little later.

A random check of several other movie showed they all played fine. It appears to be just this movie. Have any of you experienced this before

P.S. This is happening on multiple devices; 2 HDTVs & streaming BD player.

Have you been able to stream another movie all the way through since then? The reason I ask is that it sounds like what happens when someone reaches their bandwidth cap with their ISP. If you can stream other movies then obviously that's not the issue.

Yes, I've streamed a few movies in HDX since this problem with no problems; it's just this one title. After searching I found other complaints exactly like mine on these forums. Everyone was directed to call Vudu, which I've now done. No resolution yet... Very bizarre. FYI, I'm less than 50% to my cap, which Comcast has suspended anyway, so this isn't related to that. Thanks for you thoughts though

Do you know about where in the movie you are that it does this? (i.e. is it the same place every time, or anywhere in the movie?) That may help narrow down if there is an issue with the content itself.

Jake, I truly appreciate that someone from Engineering now has their eyes on this. Thank you.

If it helps, please refer to my Incident #150208-000408, as your question about "is it the same place every time" doesn't apply to my situation. To be clear, I am unable to access this movie (and ONLY this movie) at all. Specifically, when I click on the movie in my collection the "Loading" screen comes up (as usual), and I then get ONLY the afore mentioned "Network Error", etc. I get stopped there. I do not ever get to the "Resume HDX" option, so I cannot give you a time where I left off.

PLEASE take a hard look at the network testing I did with your CSR (it's in my incident report) and see if you can figure out what is going on here!

Thanks to Dan and the Vudu engineers for looking at this. It's really a bizarre problem

Can you try it again? Apparently the CDN had a bad server in your area that they say has been fixed.

Jake, I quickly tested a couple devices and "About Schmidt" is streaming again! Thank you very much for getting to the bottom of this.

I have no clue what a "CDN" is, but I'm curious how/why it affected only one movie...

"Content Delivery Network". Basically there are thousands of servers around the country that cache the movies, and the system is designed to have you stream from one geographically close to you. In fact it was even more specific, it was only for that movie in your area at about 43 minutes into it Anyway, thanks for verifying it.

I am clueless as to how this stuff works, but I sure do love it when it does! Thanks again Jake for getting this figured out.

FYI, after you got me up and running, I got an email from a Vudu CSR (who was unaware that the problem was fixed) suggesting changing IP addresses, and possibly setting up a DMZ for my devices I'm sure glad you got me fixed.

Also, feel free to delete this thread, as in retrospect, my header seems a bit... harsh.
